I'd like to see us get Ball more involved (resisting the urge to say Ball on the ball).

When we get Hooper in for Sotorio we won't look to bad.

It doesn't seem implausible that we get one back here.

Great save from Redmayne from a good header from Sotirio there. Possibly could have got a bit more on it, but that is asking a lot.  AND WHY IS DAVILA STILL TAKING OUT DEAD BALLS?

Ouch.  So close it stings.

And that should have been it!

Just need a little luck our way.

Wow, Sotirio blocked off with a superb Redmayne save

What a run from Ball! Would like to see how he goes in the #10 role in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Ball has really had some great moments tonight. If Hooper leads the line he drops back a bit, shifts wider our attack is gonna start looking alright.

Can we talk about how quick David Ball's feet are, the guy is a dribbling wizard

part from the first ten that was really impressive. We look much more progressive than last year and with Hooper we will score goals, really impressed with that. Dominates a really good midfield there

not totally awful, had some great moments so far, JS11 has mis-placed quite a few early passes but his pace alone should get him into shooting position more often, ball is great on the ball but I wish he would just shoot sooner. an't wait to see hooper and ball up front.

Unlucky not to be level at the break. Balls skills are joy to behold, hopefully we can put one of these chances away. Keeping that intensity up will tough, but I've been impressed with what I've seen.

I like what I see. Just unlucky with finishing. They fixed everything from last week, except the scoring.

davilla is still piss weak coughing up the ball.  bring piscopo on for him after 15

If we forget the first 15' and the fact that we gave up a soft goal, it wasn't a bad first half at all. Loving Ball, his work rate and trickery. Even Davila seems somewhat inspired. We just need someone to finish off those chances. McCowatt is doing well but not always making the right decision when he gets close to goal.

As an aside, if you can look past the terrible hairdo, Ryan Grant is such a good player.

I'd like to see Ball play the full 90 and get an opportunity to work alongside our bench attacking options

Piscopo on for Davila, Waine on for Sotirio and Payne for Fenton the subs i hope for the next half

In years past we struggled to put anything decent together away from home against the stronger teams especially. This actually looks pretty good so far. I hope we'll score sooner rather than later to get our confidence levels up and build some belief

Lets face it, Sydney are a class outfit. Very slick with their passing but we seem to have them in check and with a bit of luck we could be all square.

Every time Ball runs at players he looks dangerous!

Never good enough to play for England

this random halftime is a bit of a buzzkill

Payne on for Fenton, lacks cutting edge going forward. Seems to go forward then turn and play back to goal everytime

Who would have thought "why can't we listen to Bozza" would be coming out of our mouths/fingers.

Is the half time show just adverts after adverts?

We should be level. After a pretty woeful opening 15 minutes I thought we dominated that half.

Great save from Redmayne with that Sotirio header. Just a little more decisiveness in front of goal and we'll be off the mark for the season.

Impressed with Ball - for mine, he's playing heads up football. Willing to take on the man (as seen at the end of the half - although it looked like he just missed a backheel pass and then just went with it ?) and generally just looks dangerous in that front third. Not an out and out goalscorer, but he's been giving Sydney some troubles, which is pleasing to see.

Balls doing awesome.

Against a lesser side we could easily be 2 up. Not sure if it's the difference between being at the game vs watching on TV but we look way better this week.
