I think Ljujic will score more too. His shot was good- it reminded me a little of Tim Brown in that it was definitely hitting the target and not blazing over the bar. A little wider and he would have beaten Reddy.

Not wanting to be pedantic, but I thought Ljujic went for placement rather than force and this produced a textbook save from Reddy. Both the shot and the save surely good enough for the highlights reel.

think this is basically what Im saying,  but he could have gone a little further left and that would have been interesting.

I prefer Krishna as a wide player, he seems to do better when cutting in from wide and ghosting behind players. When playing centrally he tends to get marked out of games.

Krishna's main strength is making runs between the FB/CB and waiting for balls over the top. Playing him in the middle would be madness.

Looking at that photo, I see 1 Nix player marking 3 Perth players at the back post, 1 Nix player in no mans land behind him. Well taken free kick.

Troy Hearfield 4 year ban for alleged Ecstasy possession, Mitch Nicholls, alleged Cocaine possession and nothing. Says it all really how low the FFA will stoop. Nicholls was using profane language on several occassions in the game and could be heard. Nothing will come of it. He's had a charmed life from the FFA.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

You could say his career was interesting from the get-go.  Remember how Clive Palmer made him a captain for his debut game, without consulting the coach? Miron Bleiberg, being Miron Bleiberg, immediately told Palmer what he thought of that, prompting Palmer to throw a hissy fit and suspend Bleiberg. Suffice to say, both Bleiberg and Palmer are now history, while Nicholls plays on. Go figure.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Think you're getting him confused with Mitch Cooper.

Incidentally, wouldn't Mitch Cooper qualify for All Whites? He lived in New Zealand for five years as a youngster before his parents took him to Oz.  And he only played for Australia at under-17 level, so might be worth a shot???

Not sure what to make of his move from the Jets to NPL.  That was a decision by Scott Miller so not necessarily any good.

I really should have stayed away from the keyboard today.

I may have quoted the wrong post. I probably should have stayed away as well! But, Nicholls is still released from Perth, no matter what Mitch we talk about!
