ref's bailed us out a couple of times and we're still 3-0 down
hoping the Powell and Doyle double act can get going again
Manny has gone from hero to zero in the space of one week. Honking tonight
stuffed if I know why we are looking to renew so many contracts...
A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen
Roly should watch the Spainard for Adelaide. Got pissed off. Threw in a heavy tackle and then scored a great goal
Louis woulda scored a hatty today
And he almost did. I'm certain that was a deliberate shot from Roly, whatever the commentators say. He started, saw Gelckovic off his line and tried to chip him.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!
settle down Watson...

Ok Holmes

ffs, we look toothless
We look better with Powell. Wish we'd risked him to start ahead of Ridenton and then subbed Matt or Louis in when we were 3-1 up at about 50 minutes!! #alternativepasts
Watson has a touch like a butcher
Several tonight, but has had some good touches too and held up and retained possession.
Does well in the next move, but around him people don't finish. He's not the only one who has been poor in the box. Doyle's cross radar has been a little off, no one has made the right runs to meet the balls we do play. Roly could find Watson or whoever was at the back post.
roly runs across field a lot. would love it if sometimes he would play a simple pass or even a first time pass...
So next week we will only play players who figure in Ernie's plans for next season?
Kotahitanga. We are one.
heard that clear as day wato! haha
Dont worry lads, only over 7 months till we have a fresh slate...
ffs
Seasons over, Ernie should just play signed players from now on.
stuffed if I know why we are looking to renew so many contracts...
Agree, where was Dura for the last goal. What a joke.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
Warriors and Hurricanes have both come back to be within at least 2 points.
We concede another goal. *sigh*
Just not polished enough.
WE played tica taka all night and they picked off any passes that might have gone usefully through their lines. Their attacks were fast and direct. WEll done Adelaide.
Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

We couldn't find the early goal, and muffed the chances we did get. They were simply much better than us- man for man, tactically, squad depth, fitness, table position and shirts off...
They defended really well as a team and frustrated us.

Awesome that the 12 Pissant fans could out sing the Yellow Fever through 90 minutes...
Also WTF was up with the Crowe minute of silence in the 53rd minute???? I understand he was 53 when he died but standing up in the middle of the game for a minutes silence was fudgeing stupid. Some started clapping and others shushed them. Whoever thought that was a good idea is a muppet.
#shambles
Agreed. Minute's silence / applause for a cricket player in the middle of a football match seemed utterly senseless.

Agreed. Durante for TWO years is beyond belief and McGlinchey, who I believe is on a very decent wedge, I just don't feel is even worth renewing. Lazy and incredibly inconsistent.

We did it for that Aussie cricket player who died on the field so of course we did it for Crowe.. We also did it for those two Newcastle fans who died on the Malaysia air flight for the football united tour.
Well beaten by a much better side in the end, and we were punished for our negativity in the first half hour. They were there for the taking and we either fluffed the opportunities we had or passed back to Durante again on the half way line. Sorry Phoenix, thats not good enough.
What a shark game. After 20 minutes just like last week. I want the players to know that for almost every game this season I have had to take a days annual leave to support them. Time they delivered and paid me back. Sick of these shark performances at home. The difference tonight was when Adelaide attacked, it was forward, fast and positive. When we attack, we play ping pong backwards and forwards across the friggen field and it is negative.
Fixed my spelling. Much anger when first typed.
Can someone tell me - and I can't face looking back through the thread for fear of depression - why the goal they scored when Moss was clacked was disallowed? The Adelaide player got to the ball, hit it first and it ended up in the net. The ref saved it being 5

That's fine, my point is that it was a minutes silence DURING THE GAME. They asked us to stand up while the ball was in play and be quite. A round of applause through the 53rd minute would have been great but some muppet thought otherwise.

I can't find an answer to this either. Clearly a goal.
Watson showed that a fortnight ago was an aberration. I guess it shows the trouble we are in if he is starting for us

So was Manny trialling for Melbourne city last week hence he played out of his skin and this week suffering from a post signing hangover?
