Is there a game on?
R22 vs Perth Glory | Sat 4th March | 7:35pm | QBE Stadium/The Merchant
Interesting to see that the Fever Zone is quite central, no complaints!
I will defintely be there, and trying to get others to go who are normally be keen. But jeepers everyone seems to be busy or keen on watching the cricket!
I'm a super cricket fan- think I might go the commentary in the ear if necessary...but damn Phoenix till I die!
Skygo on the phone?

It always is, and there is normally always issues over it being there. Probably won't matter on Saturday due to not many people attending!

I just saw my first ad for the game in Auckland today. It was on the Stuff website. Worst marketing I've ever seen for a game up here. Add the fact there is the cricket "final" and racing also on I really cant see many more than 3-4k being there.
I'm going to try and get there. QBE Stadium is a hike to get to though.
Its no longer a problem.
Everyone complaining about the lack of marketing, but would marketing have actually made a difference? The team is shark, everyone knows that, so what's the point in throwing money at marketing when nobody is going to show up anyway?

Adelaide or CCM have reasonable crowds regardless of sharke performances. Same for Newcastle. And that is just the smaller markets (can't compare to say WSW due to their much larger drawing area). I do not see why our situation should be any different.
As far as I am concerned, that is the difference between supporters and consumers.
Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days
only CCM get bigger crowds than us relative to city size.

I wonder how many will be sitting down in the zone? And will they complain?
The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!

What is the pop you are using for Newcastle? Newcastle city or metro? Because according to wiki both Newcastle City and Metro are smaller than the Wgtn equivalents.
What time everyone pre-gaming? Merchant likely to show the cricket?
Catchyas tomorrow- just sent of 31 tickets to StarJam. Thanks everyone. Hope Matt can find a home for the rest and happy to do it over next year to get more northern folks along and expose others to the 'Nix.

Sorry I was using old figures. Newcastle are usually just below us, but this season they are better

Both are also in a pretty densely populated part of Australia with lots of teams within easy travel distance for away fans.

Im pretty sure FFA use Newcastle City + Newcastle Metro + Lake Macquarie + the entire Hunter Valley, New England AND Northern NSW in their justification for having the Jest in the League

They will be showing it, they had it on the other day when I was in there

Just on this, along with the Fever Dreams family that will be going to the game. I've given the Auckland house the extra tickets for them to either use for staff or other families in the house. Thanks to people that donated their tickets for Star Jam and this!

Yep I know CCM get much higher crowds when they're playing another NSW team. Been meaning to look into that more closely for a while now. Might do so at the end of the season.

OUT list means out of the squad from last week. So he isn't in the OUT list as he wasn't in the squad last week.

once and for all, this will prove that taking a game to North Harbour is an absolute waste of time.

Great comment, I am sure there is lots of factors in why you think it will be a waste of time. But some of us it is our chance to see the Boys play and as I can't get to Wellington much I enjoy these Auckland games!

As great as it is for a small number of locals, there'll hardly be anyone there and it just further alienates the Wellington fanbase

I'm not so sure it definitively says anything. Phoenix are the 3rd option in terms of events in Auckland this weekend, behind the black caps and races. Not really an ideal case example to be used against taking games to Auckland.
But the poor crowd at Mt Smart last time was a bit of a worry (although even then I suspect that is because it was played in the wrong region of Auckland).

Game Day! Go and smash those Huffers and Puffers!
Fire Up!
E's Flat Ah's Flat Too
Incentive enough not to show. Sober was one thing, drunk is the next step.
I would love to go but due to NRFL pre-season stuff I and many others at the club can't make it.
I went to the Mt Smart game and it was awesome so I'm gutted to not be able to make it.
I saw the first bit of advertising for the game on a back of the bus in the City. Other than that I haven't seen anything else. I'm predicting a 1-1 draw in front of a 6k crowd.
I've actually seen some decent advertising for this game. Saw 2 billboards, one by eden park next to kingsland station and one on fanshawe street when you head to the cbd off the motorway.
Was up at Eden Park during the Nines
