Ok, so is it confirmed that Roly is going? And if so, where is he headed?

Good to watch but of little consequence.  Smeltz played well but I kept expecting him to pull up lame each time he stretched out.  Roy will be a handful for AWs if he gets service..

Yes, but we have too many players that have not turned up all season.

No, but the rumours are overwhelming; best guess is WSW.

Pretty happy with the crowd attendance last night considering what else was on.

Last night was probably the first time I haven't stood in the YF zone as I was with a family. Sounded good in the first half and sort of quietened down towards the end of the game.

Was rather funny these young guys a few rows up from us took there shirts of and then Perth scored they were rather embarrased and quickly put there shirts back on!

How can you be happy with a crowd of 6285 for a Traveling Circus game that is supposed to increase crowds & raise awareness of the Wellington Phoenix? Another example of poor marketing/poor planning.

Admittedly the Cricket may have taken a few supporters away (but the crowd at Eden Park was probably only about 20-25k) & I believe the Races were on as well. But, for a city of 1.5 million people, surely a better crowd of 6285 would be expected?

It was a very entertaining game, & I'm sure that the supporters that were there will tell their mates what a great time they had & they should come to the next game! But, there wont be another game in Auckland for at least 8 months!

The tactical delay of shirts off was expertly executed by the majority of the Zone.

Because I thought it was going to be more like 3-4k there so I was happy. There was a mix of things that were the reason for not many people turning up and you name 2 of them. Also the fact that there was no advertising and no one knew the game was being played doesn't help. But would you waste your money on advertising ? it would have been a different story if the Nix were in the top 4.

It was a good crowd, thought it was more actually, looked it. Plus it was more than the moaners thought it might be.

There was advertising, it will never be enough for some. I expect Huawei would be satisfied, chance to rub shoulders with their Auckland clients on a good night.

The team playing like they did for a while will increase crowds next time here, I could see most people enjoyed the experience.

Might get a few along to the next home game even, lets see how Wellington responds....

The team has been crap KH, that is the nub of it, thats a hard market.

Difference of opinion not setting my standards low, that is what I thought they would have got. Anyways was an entertaining game that could have gone either way.

Rather awkward having that free kick awarded right on the count down for shirts off. Usually the tv cameras show the shirts off celebration, but they tactfully didn't show it last night.

im bloody disappointed we threw that away , one mark in the D column is better than another in the L column though.

Good crowd, some small groups trying to get a few chants going but no one really joining in with them. An enjoyable evening.

Haha- well I thought there would be a NHPeter stand or something at QBE.

Hatter- I had to bloody start twist and shout 'cos you weren't there!

And yes was happy with the crowd, considering there was a lot of negativity, our position on the table and performance record this season another big sports event with a lot of cross over and everyone supposedly hates QBE.

Actually enjoyed QBE yesterday- great view from the double decker on the way in from town, the Merchant was a bit pricey, but decent, short walk each way and back to town. I'm still not a great fan of the view from QBE- couldn't see the other end of the pitch as well as you can in Welly with the elevation...

Also seemed to be a bit of multicultural turn out for Aucks- quite a few Chinese guys, families and I gave a beer to one guy who was there with a baby that looked weeks old! Legend. Hopefully new fans and a fan base to build on...

Good effort from the zone, the Whangarei Taniwha kids...

Phoenix Golden Ale from Garage Project was absolutely top notch.

Eden Park is better, but given costs and everything I think QBE can absolutely be sold as a decent fan experience. If only we could get up on the bank or something!

I drove 655 km's to get there, watched us luckily snatch a draw from the jaws of Victory and then drove 655 km's back. Blood shot eyes from 24 hours awake. Locals showed up although 6k at the "Home" of NZ football is a bit disappointing. I wonder if that NZF official managed to get his wife a ticket for free??

Can we please have any Auckland games at Mount Smart. Piss easy to get to and from and I don't have to drive.

We should have buried that game at 3-1

Was an enjoyable night out.

Pleasantly surprised at the crowd - like NHP was expecting a lot less.

Finkler had a good 45 minutes but you could see he was done shortly into the second half.

Wonder whether the amount of defensive work expected of Krishna and Barbouroses has a negative effect on their attacking capacity.

Kudos to the dozen or so Glory fans who made the long trip - saw them negotiating with the Red Badge guys about something.

As long as Mt Smart re-think their whole alcohol beverage sale process. I was pleasantly surprised at not having to fart around with stupid plastic cups at NHS!

Went to the game thanks to cheap Jetstar flights in one of their sales months ago. Always easy for us to go to things in Auckland since we have my partner’s parents to stay with and use of one of their cars when there, and Albany is convenient since they live on the North Shore. Pitch seemed a lot better than last year. Was in the section behind the group of Glory fans this time so couldn’t really hear Yellow Fever from the other end but atmosphere seemed good. Entertaining game and annoying not to have closed it out after leading for so long, but kind of summed up the season really. Feels a bit like it would be taking the piss to end up in the finals after this season.

I did not have the money to go until 3 days before the game. I have a very restricted financial situation.taxi? From the airport to north habour? Thats gottabe a $200 fare. There is a Mana Bus who's timetable is perfect for games at Mt Smart and catching an overnighter to and from the games. It is brilliant.

Know it's a bit more tricky to get to Albany from downtown than Mt Smart, but could Mana Bus not have been an option for this one? You would have surely spent more on petrol. Sure a fellow fan would have helped you get from downtown to the game if you'd asked on here. I'd have picked you up from town if you were stuck with getting to the game, option for next time maybe.

Mt Smart is perfect, excellent train service. With the buses, the later you leave it, the more expensive. Up until a money injection, I had about $30 to last the week. And remember I have a wife and 2 rugrats whom I have to see to first. Food is the priority for them.

just a little harsh there, we do not all have an unlimited budget, to get to the game LG sold 2 of his player issue shirts so in effect did not take any money out of his family budget but sold somethings he has treasured and decided were worth selling to get himself to auckland to support the team.

Thank you for the kind support especially you H. You are spot on. I would like to believe that it is worth supporting the Nix as much as I can, it is about finding a balance for family and the Nix. Despite my moans. After 10 years I am still buzzing that we have a professional football team and every now and then we need a reality check and reminder and so too do the club and players.

Looking forward to our next Home game.
