So apparently the season isn't over yet. Fire up or whatever.

What final hopes?

Three for me, and two for them.

Your hopes are finally extinguished. Those hopes.

Greenie's got a really good head on him.

Expect to see a few sensible adjustments and for once, for there to be a plan

Can someone in Sydney please rip a flare and throw it on the pitch and get these fudgeers the 3pt deduction they deserve! We will start a Give A Little page to pay for your fine. Honest!

Hopefully they play the most fantastic football, like ever, we deserve this.

At the very least, there'll be a bunch of them playing for contracts!

they have been doing that all season though, why would it change now?

They might have a coach next season that they actually want to play for, where they didn't previously

Hopefully we will see AK dropped, considering he almost certainly won't be here next season and has only scored one goal in the last 12 games. Would much prefer to see Burns and Krishna play two up top or a front three of Burns - Ljujic/Patterson - Krishna. Still want Singh to start at attacking mid, Paracki and Ridenton to be the holding pair. Back four of Doyle - Fox - Durante - Mullen

If anyone deserves to be on the bench I think it was Burns after that last game. At least AK was trying.

I'd like to see AK stay - he's been unlucky of late not to have the service he had early on.

We can't afford to settle for AK though. Yeah he's great with his head, but he can't shoot for shark and disappears from games. The only team that would even think about signing him would be the Mariners, but that's largely because they just don't have a proper striker. In a 27 game season, 1 goal in the last 12 rounds is unacceptable if we actually want to have any ambition.

Yes, but Burns is signed for next season, AK is not. Burns is a confidence player, so I don't think dropping him and starting a guy who will be gone in six games is a good idea.

I agree with that.  I watched one game live this year (big win v Perth) and he was good.  I think he has some limitations but he's a good solid A League target man.

So why no Patterson... injured or not rated?

This season has been so crap I just find it so hard to even know what to care about now, i seem to go from one feeling of disappointment to the next.

Surely Flappy stays in goal?

I thought Flappy was actually pretty good when he played. We've set a very low bar for keepers this season; but he's far better than our other 2 options.

Low bars are easier to defend

I'd like to see Rossi and Fox as our starting CB's please. Maybe Rossi will give a fudge again with Greenie back in charge.
