Jesus Patrick, Can you not read what she is saying? It's not the amount of games but the lack of results and the quality of too much of the play in them. On paper our squad should really have delivered and they haven't.

Stop defending every criticism of the club like it is a personal insult to you. Or are you saying that for $169 a season we get the quality we deserve?

They have delivered a failed product. How many games at "home" have we won compared to those we have lost? And let's be honest, most of the play has been stagnant and defensive. The good news is, is that when things have clicked and the planets aligned, some of the Nix play was outstanding and we really should have thrashed some teams. That 3-3 game, we should have won for example.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

All I'm saying that that the club never promised that you'd be buying a season pass to witness the team win their games.

You're not an investor in the club just because you spent $169 on a season pass.

of course you are an investor Patrick, JESUS FUCKING Christ, give yourself an uppercut

That attitude which is what is seeping through the mangament of the club and the fan elite, is what is going to end up killing it.

Wow i have said some stupid shark over the years but that takes the cake. Its that same sort of thinking the club has.Shows that some people really just dont get it. Pretty sad really when one of the mainstays of YF just dosnt seem to get it. Says it all really.

Hasn't the club delivered you the 11  games in Wellington it promised when you purchased the season pass? I'd say its delivered on exactly what you purchased.

No, not really, they ‚promised‘ us top 6/4 football.  They also created a new logo and motto for a new start and for whatever reason they lost completely the plot. People losing interest watching crap football and off field drama. And I actually don’t expect them to give me something off. But they have a lot to do in convincing me to buy another season pass.

This. Players always say they play for us, I‘m pretty sure that‘s not 100% true, but they sure love the gratification to play in front of fans but we are not stupid to expect to buy in everything they do on the field. Thousands excuses, coach not sensible etc. Now they have a likable coach, what’s the results?

This is blatantly not true, Welnix and Huawei both invest more money into the Phoenix than ticket sales bring to the club.

Yeah.

My original point was that no supporter is entitled to a half price season ticket next season just because the team was shark this year, and I stand by that.

The club delivered exactly what it's paying customers paid for. If it moved 6 of the games to Auckland it would be a differed story.

The hyperbole on here about me losing the plot completely is excellent.

You buy a ticket, you take your chance.

Every club in the league aims for top 4/6 each season and guess what, some teams don't make it.

The football might be crap, but check your terms and conditions kids. This is what you paid for.

Actually this is peak A-League, all of this.

The FFA and those Fox cods have banged on about the 'product' they're offering to sponsors and TV for so long that the language has seeped into how we talk about how our team plays.

'The product failed', you reckon people didn't notice that the club appointed a shark coach, who made shark promises that he couldn't deliver because he was so far out of his depth he'd have to spend ten years in a decompression chamber to avoid getting bent? Seriously.

Last four years Nix have finished 4th, 9th, 7th and either 9th or 10th this year. Weirdly the Jets will have the same record of finals football that we have, and have two wooden spoons in the same period.

This is football. Sometimes its shark. Sometimes it's amazing. Sometimes it's both at the same time.

I know the season's been shark and everyone feels fudgeed off and because there's literally nothing to do but complain and the fever 'elite' are an easy target because they actually engage in discussion unlike the club and the FFA and those cods at Fox - but fudgeing hell folks, pull it together.

There's a next season. And a season after that. And maybe, maybe that might be the end of the Phoenix. And when it's gone, you'll have no fudgeing 'failed product' at all.

Think of it this way. You got 11 games of shark football this year (and the odd win in there too). That's 9 more games than Auckland and 11 more games than literally everywhere else in the country. Could be worse. Could be a lot worse.

This is blatantly not true, Welnix and Huawei both invest more money into the Phoenix than ticket sales bring to the club.

So if all the fans stopped going how long do you think the club would survive? If people suddenly stopped watching football on TV how long would the lucrative TV deals last? Why do big clubs keep increasing their grounds capacity? Why do clubs bother selling replica shirts at all if fans are such small fry?

Why do companies want to want to sponsor football clubs in the first place? To sell their tat to football fans obviously.  Fans are as much a revenue for the clubs as sponsorship. They are more important because without them clubs won't exist.

Also I've had to put up with some bullshark on the pitch in a terrible stadium that suffers when it's empty and my attendance is down due to work but I still fork out the cost of a season ticket and will do next year. That's why we are the biggest stakeholders.

Trolling posters isn't excellent and isn't the role of a mod. People are genuinely upset at the state of the club. Tone back the smart-Alecness and try and get some understanding of how people are feeling. Nobody really expects we should get a half-priced ticket next season they are venting.

Christ I'd refuse as I want as much investment in the club as possible. Hence the small fortune me and Vickmeist  spent on club gear last week when we have draw fulls back home.

Wow, you are genuinely clueless. No fans = No football club.

You've taken what appears to be a tongue in cheek statement and made yourself look stupid. Its becoming increasingly obvious you do not want to be on the wrong side of Dome and friends by questioning their decisions or disagreeing with them, when really that should be one of your main roles as a leading member of the supporters group. Why is this?

Its actually pretty funny/embarrassing how you seem to think your very clever then go and post some absolute shark. If only you were still that random guy trying to copy Brisbane's streak signs

Don't think that's fair as he has put in an absolute truckload of effort into the YF. I just think, he thinks, his role is promoting the club rather than being a simple contact point between the club and the fans.

The YF exec has always been a bit secretive when it comes to it's relationship with the club. It has always been like that, but you cannot fault their commitment.

In the spirit of devilment, I'd like to see what happens if the 'fever elite' decided to hold their own protest and downed tools.

By that I mean actually shut down the forums for a bit and give those who bemoan the state of the zone the opp to get into it.

Keep going with Fever Dreams mind. That stuff matters.

The YF have done a lot of good work, starting way back with the scholarships. Then Matt with his Fever Dreams. There were the Bus trips, the tee shirts etc etc. In fairness to Patrick, his geekyness and computer skills with the apps etc. All have brought fans from everywhere together with a common point of focus.

Sadly, the team have underwhelmed for the last three years and fans are disillusioned and most are voting with their feet. 11 years ago, I came onto this site and made a big deal about being so proud that Wellington had their very own professional football team and hoped we never visited the same areas in the league that the Kingz & Knights did - bottom of the table. Well the team have achieved that area far too often and yes I am pissed off about it. I am pissed off about games going elsewhere but at the end of the day, I am damned proud that we still have our own professional football team. We've lasted a great distance. Next season we need to get our shark together on and off the field!

I can see why Ridenton's physical attributes are useful in that shuttler position but think WeeMac is a better footballer. After the Brisbane game I can understand why Burns started at 10 with AK ahead of him but think Singh should start with Burns further forward and AK on the bench.

I have no problem with Patrick and his opinions, and don't like people name calling them 'fever elite'. At the end they are the people holding things here together.

I have my doubt that we can a much better next season, I was very positive the last two season, just to get disappointed. If you look look closer there is not much to like about the current club, the results are crap and on top I only can related to a few players. I quit liked Lia, Muscat, Sigmund, Moss, Roly all solid players. Do you think I give a shark where XYZ of our current squad plays next year?
