Sure it's moronic, and I don't have a lot of time for Rufer, but again, if the VAR intervenes for every incident like that (and it clearly doesn't), it would intervene a hell of a lot more than it does.

Don't disagree, but that specific moment was just dumb by Rufer. VAR can fudge off, especially after not bothering to even check the pen call last week.

I wouldn't say Rufer 'kicked out', but did hang his leg up/out to try trip the guy. Would like to see again, but I didn't see any violent kick out? Intentionally tried to trip the guy, yes, but that's not a red card offence.
