Honestly, Wellington has the worst public transport you could imagine, and still the Greens go on about cars. Looks like we will all be fudgeing cycling to games before long.

Every one of those councilors involved in the bus debacle should be sent to the gallows. Truly pathetic. They've got the service they've paid for. Cheap as fudge Auckland reject buses. Anyway, I'll stop there. At least there's the scooters ?

I actually think a lot of them were not re-elected. Certainly I think the buses and cycleways hurt Lester's re-election.

Didn't want to endorse this, but it was a GWRC decision.

Why are we going to be without Hooper? Have I missed something? No reason to suspect he won't be playing this weekend.

Im not trolling, there is just no word on Hooper and we need him to play. NZF might have stuffed us up again.

The word is he'll play, the Phoenix have said it a couple of times so unless they say otherwise why would you think different?

By saying "and now Hooper" you make it seem as if they've just announced something or you've heard something when you admit you haven't.

The annoying thing about this is that the bus replacements are because they are currently using the weekends to upgrade the tracks and power lines to make it more reliable. If the game is at 6pm on the Sunday couldn't they just cut the work early that day so trains could run? They reason they do it on the weekends is because there's less demand so when there is increased demand on the weekend they could just not work then.

Not really the thread to discuss it and not trying to defend them but its not as easy as that.Think you will find this maintenance has been scheduled for sometime so they can make the most of the 3 day weekend.

Unfortunately the fudgeers were right last week

I think everyone expects Perth to win this one; they're a very good team - we'll need to play at our best to get anything, think that much is clear. Who knows how we'll play with Hooper there.

True, but Sydney are also good and we went toe to toe with them away last week, and we have Hooper now and home advantage. I would think a draw would be a reasonable call.

I'd love to be wrong, but Hooper is not an appliance, you don't just plug him in an get the fully operational version

True, but even 3/4 fit he'll offer more of a threat than we have had and his presence will probably  give the rest of the team confidence too

I'm more confident with Ball behind him. He was great last week with his possession and movement, and having someone ahead of him to look for will be hugely beneficial. Davila didn't look bad either

McCowatt has created the most chances of any player in the league so far (saw a stat sometime during the week - can't find it for the life of me now). Think based on what we saw against Sydney he'll get soem service. Hope we see him starting.

Davila, McCowatt and Ball all looked good last week - if they can continue that form, he will get service.

It's on the A League website. Steinman 4th equal for chances created.
