Williams as a wing back? alright mate

No..but we have enough defenders I think on today

Cacace is a wing back though

We are getting ripped to shreds, but that was a fudgeing pen. Fudge VAR. Fudge FFA

Jeez, that's some nice passing by WSW. We are getting a real going over here.

Don't think it was a pen, it was probably outside the box, but was a definite red card for DOGSO.

Push? on Krishna

Fair call about VAR perhaps being pulled back by the  A League - over use in the first 2 rounds.

Same answer as to whether someone can teach Fenton to cross - No.

Fenton has the first touch of an Elephant

Also, in this type of weather you need as many players with a good first touch as possible - Singh would help

Basically everyone is playing bad. We always play shark in the wind and the rain, the great irony of the Nix.

Bet on Rufer being sent off

Don't we always suck when one of our players has a milestone game too?

This could get ugly

Inside the box on his own in space and still stuffs the cross.

I think Burgess has been good, especially in this sharke weather

Fentons crossing is making me a little bit sick

Now that genuinely was awful from Fenton. Bit better pressure though.

Don't we have right footed player to use in that short corner move tho not our left wing back? ;>)

On that last replay I didn't think so.  looked like he threw himself in the air.  He lifted his heel himself.

harsh on Louis- thought he's been a positive in the first half. Mixed delivery, but our best attacking outlet. Nichols?

Bit of a miserable half but we came back into it the last 15 mins. Burgess has been good in tough condition, not sure if Singh would've done any worse tho

Terrible start, much improved end to the half but lack of a real shot taker is painful.

Agreed. It's almost impossible with this wind to place a cross where you want it. Fenton's been a pretty good source of attacks so far and has actually caused their defence the most problems of any Nix player.

Don't honestly think any individual is playing that badly. Apart from the goal, has WSW had another clear cut chance? Lots of shots but from difficult positions. Burgess has been good but needs to get involved more, for the middle of the half it seemed as though Krishna was doing all the work for Burgess and Nicholls. The ball is holding up, lots of players getting their own ball back from rebounds after being tackled, thats pretty much a Burns special, maybe a good game for him to find his form. Singh for Nicholls as well, I think Rudan tinkering with the starting 11 is the first misstep he's made.

Beginning to think our best team has both of them on the park.

Our defenders look very slow against Kamau and Roly.

And it looked like a cheap shot by us both times the players went down. Krishna shouldve been stronger too.

Disagree. Our midfield were completely bypassed for about 30 mins, and the backline were caught out of position on about 4 or 5 occasions, we are lucky to be 1 down.

Mandi is struggling to pass out, Rufer too - Nichols has been slightly better but still not as good as WSW's worst midfielder.

Is it a one goal wind is the question

And can we exploit it effectively.

Yeah but our midfield isn't as good as WSW player for player, also based on how we setup and the expectations I have of the team - keep opposition clear cut chances to a minimum, turn over the ball get it forward fast - the Nix have been OK at this. The midfield was bypassed by some good passing but it was almost all into wide channels where the Nix are happy to defend from, again no issues with this. They need to keep organised, keep pushing players forward at the right times and they'll get something from this game.

At the moment I think we are simply being outplayed by a team with more class and a better tactical use of the conditions. Might need a bit of individual brilliance or good luck to get anything out of this.

O'Doherty and Baccus - one is a kid and one is a below average A-league midfielder

Their #10 is one of the best in the league, though.

It was mainly the #10 Baumjohan and Bonevicia pulling the strings in the midfield for WSW.

Definately a handball - though you have to ask wtf was Durante supposed to do, let a point blank shot smack him in the side of the face? Putting your arm up like that is just a reflex action. The rules are stupid sometimes.
