I was just about to suggest this, the fever Zone move to the north end.

Banner for the game this Saturday.... "FFS U Lot" to deliver a message to the players. Some whom don't seem to be putting in as much as they could be or not living up to their proper potential.

I know it might not be as positive and cuddly as some would prefer, but the players need to step up and lift their games. This is better than booing them. Not sure who was getting booed at the end of the last game - the match officials or our guys or Sydney. or all three sets??

I agree with the overall sense of lack of spring in the step.  Is Ernie too nice as a coach?  He was supposed to be dour.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Or we could run around with arrows pointing at the goal. That's always popular.

This could be funny on Saturday Night.

I can see the whole crowd getting up and traipsing down to the North End in the second half to watch the fireworks, particularly if we are losing.

Maybe its conga time?

My only concern about playing a couple of the youngsters is the moment the play... they are no longer eligable to play in the College system.

If the get picked, we need to be confident they have a real future otherwise we effectively block off one option aka Sean Lovemore and Joel Stevens.

Surely this is a decision the player has to make.

If your in the Nix ressies I'd have thought the chance to play for the As is what your there for.

If Ernie doesn't think that highly of you yet I'm sure he'd keep you informed of what you need to improve on or if you definitely want a scholarship I'm sure Ham Wanderers, Southern, Tasman and maybe HB would give you a decent look over.

No matter what the excuses it's 6 pts from the next two games.

Again we seem to be squatting and it's about time we took some ownership.

Denial isn't an actual argument, especially considering evidence to a contrary. Squatting at the bottom of the table maybe ;)

The squatting reference does indeed refer to our kiwi club being left behind by aussie go getters.

I don't care that you have doubts on me being kiwi or even man landing on the moon, your own sexuality or whatever.

More a kiwi thing to be happy with 6th as some sort of success story or just happy competing.

Although 'competing' is dubious in regards to my home town teams performances, for quite some time now.

I don't own a pair of Nix or any other colored glasses as many here do. Nix and rose would be the most common. Thankfully there are some here who don't try and sugar coat or excuse away everything.

One difference between a FANatic and a supporter no doubt.

Also maybe you need to start getting over this Kiwi/Aussie thing, it's only one way traffic, and a little embarrassing how much kiwis go on about it all the time.

I'll be intrigued to see how we go with half the squad missing against CCM with WC qualifiers (and sharkhouse out a month). Those points we targeted? Forget 'em.

No, CCM are the squatters, they spend the minimum of the cap if we were squatting that's what we would do. Our investors have spent a lot of money on our club, simply because we have no results doesn't mean we're squatting.

People really need to think before they post.

As far as the whole Australia vs NZ thing goes I don't care, I don't want the Phoenix to be in the competition for some sort of weird satisfaction about beating Australians - as far as I'm concerned we're partners in this and beating Australians would be no different to beating another NZ team. I also don't care if we beat them in any other sport or business or whatever, it's a global world and I'm a global citizen and I want my team to do well. I.E. I want to beat anyone we play regaurdles of nationality.

You definitely have a bias though, and it's not yellow and black tinged glasses but green and gold.

Because for some reason our bona fide goal-scoring defender-bumping number 9 wasn't doing so great as a right winger?

I just hope we play a striker this week, rather than 2 wingers and an attacking midfielder..

Roy Krishna scored 56 goals in the ASB Premiership and was named the ASB Premiership striker of the decade, what makes you think he's a winger?

I do think hes a striker, however the games I've watched he appears to be playing on one wing with Kosta on the other and Gui sitting in the number 10 role, none of our front 3 really playing as a striker.

i think we are missing that number 9 fox in the box kind of player in the current formation, maybe i'm just old fashioned tho :-)

No Doyle, Parkhouse or McGarry - so Fenton? Who is playing LB for the Weenix - any good?

Forgot about Lowry, is he available and what has he looked like for the Weenix?

Good chance for Fenton to show us what we've been missing. Sure I've seen the negatives about him- but his driving runs have won us games too. I hope he can play out of his skin and really show that he should be considered for a starting berth. It almost seemed that in the process of building up and protecting his shoulder he lost a bit of his balance.

Louis has easily been good enough to be a starting player in the A-league at his best- time for him to remind us of that!

Jets are gonna have a 15 year old Goalie on the bench, we are unlikely to see him in action but that is a huge vote of confidence from the Jets coach in the kid.

Not really, they just haven't signed any decent cover for Ben Kennedy

Quick Poll:

Should Ernie move Rossi up to play alongside Vinnie behind the midfield and bring in Fox to partner Dura at the back?
