Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Doyle out now with foot injury - Fenton and Manny again as fullbacks?

No other options really I guess...

"Left back Tom Doyle, whose attacking threat was badly missed against the Victory, has been ruled out again, with a foot injury. Otherwise Merrick has a full squad to pick from and any changes to Monday's defeated team will be minor.

"I won't reveal the starting XI, but we're trying to get a very mobile front three and midfielders that can get forward and control the midfield as well. So I'll continue in the same vein, but the personnel will change," he said.

Strikers Jeremy Brockie or Roy Krishna might be candidates to start and perhaps Kenny Cunningham in midfield.

Phoenix: (from) Glen Moss, Louis Fenton, Ben Sigmund, Andrew Durante (c), Manny Muscat, Albert Riera, Roly Bonevacia, Alex Rodriguez, Nathan Burns, Michael McGlinchey, Jeremy Brockie, Lewis Italiano, Michael Boxall, Matthew Ridenton, Kenny Cunningham, Vince Lia, Roy Krishna.

Thats interesting. If he is looking at Krishna and Brockie starting and perhaps Cunningham, you would expect Lia to be dropped and I guess Rodriguez? If you assume the Burns, McGlinchey, Roly, as well Krishna, Brockie, Cunningham, Riera is a given as is Sigmund and Durante, it means either Manny or Fenton is the odd man out (with Moss being 11)

Please tell me I am reading this wrong cause that really does not seem right.

Or he could show real confidence in Manny, Siggy, Durra, Fenton and Riera and drop Mossy and just not play anyone in goal.

Can someone explain the attraction of Bethel Woods; conveniently located on the Terrace, special offer on jugs, scantily clad bar staff, sky spurts, premier league pass?

Good selection of beers, craft, and mainstream sweet fizzy lagers too.

Good food.

Good location.

Pricing is good.

Music is great.

The rooftop bar is great.

The staff are VERY supportive of the Nix and the Fever. They have got right in behind #FeverDreams.

The post match functions there are easily the best I've ever been to for the Nix.

Yeah the owners seem to be very big on the game. Pretty sure they own the Co-Op in Whitby (among others), and ran a Carlsberg comp where they gave away flights, tickets and accommodation to any EPL game of 2013/14 season, all out of their own pocket (Carlsberg paid for the tickets)

Or swap Mossy for Brockie, this might be a winner. At least Moss knows where the goal is.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Will they have Ruka? I still have nightmares about him tearing us a new one for Perth.

Apparently yes, he is listed as being in the travelling squad, together with a new African (Nigerian?) signing.

I can't find the link but read it this morning elsewhere.

and how to get the ball past the keeper and into the net...Thought anyone watching the last game would have picked up on how we went with no striker defending from the front and linking play and how that shut down other players abilities, in particular McG and Fenton...

Rodriguez probably a more talented footballer than Brockie and possibly more suited to how Ernie wants to play.

In that A. Rod is faster, better technically and probably more consistent.

Brockie can pull off some mean stuff, but hasn't been yet.

Pretty excited about tonights game. Really interested in who will be played up front. Would like to see Burns, Weemac, and Cunningham -although he seems to have fallen out of favor at the moment.

I'd rather our line up from the first 3 games. Hopefully we can put in a shift at home and win.
