Bloody hell, the Smurfs are good at tracking back in counter-defence. They seemed to have 10 players behind the ball before Roly passed half-way.

I was going to say that these days at least the Aussie commentators treat us with a bit of respect, but then that fudgewit Harper got going.

Who will be the Phoenix's Vision Thing tonight Doloras?

Continuiation from last game - playing really poor. There are gaps there if we stick our passes.

Neither Doyle or Gulley know how to take responsibility and actually want the ball. Both looking scared of it.

If I had heard NZ Phoenix players traveled in Economy from Oman it would dawn on me pretty quick why NZF arn't financially supporting the Phoenix. Certainly doesn't take a rocket scientist. The commentary wtf.

Apparently there were a number of business class seats available,  the players in the A-league that played first in the upcoming games got them.

I mean't more that generally NZF are poor as fudge as they have very poor financial management (legal case etc) so they can't really help the Nix much.

I suppose if they didn't ask the players to pay for the trip that's a good thing.

Andy The Nub Harper is saying we're bossing it in midfield, which is heartening after Saturday, although we can't make anything of it yet.

Has Doyle stuck a pass yet? I would ge t one of Gulley/Doyle off in the 2nd half and put on Powell to put Fenton at FB.

Give the commentators a break. Harps is actually being complimentary about our midfield tonight. I am used to him being parochial and one-eyed; tonight he is almost a paragon of even-handedness (by his standards). And Simon Hill praised our 14K people at the RoF against Adelaide.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Yeah commentary is fine; miles ahead of ours. Hill is the best.

It's also usually a foul when you shove the man on the ball in the back Andy

Well, I'm enjoying watching this, apart from the frustration of us fluffing chances, because at least Sydney are playing rather than kicking lumps out of us.
