Responded too. Happy to help. Fee is, 3 points for the Nix please. Anyone wanting a ride in a smoke free, alcohol free car also pm me. I guess I have cancelled out 98% of Nix fans saying that but hey, my kids will appreciate a clean smelling car.

Saturday cannot come soon enough, feels like it's been ages since the last game. Can't wait. Fill the ground  woohoo

For those who'll still be around on the Sunday, my Gaelic football team are playing in the Championship semifinals against our bitter grrrrivals at the Western Springs AFC home ground. There may well be biff. The last game we played was a very ill-tempered draw which features one broken arm and one red card for retaliation.

Wait. someone had their arm broken and in retaliation to that, they got red carded?? Is your league ref'ed by the same cods as the a-league?

That's not precisely the series of events - it was a teammate retaliating on her behalf, I believe - but yes, the ref was, er, "inexperienced" and I did get déjà vu watching the Sydney/Nix game.  But we're promised a proper ref this Sunday.

Dave, I think you'll find NHS and QBE are one and the same.

Methinks you mean it's been transferred to Mt. Smart ...

Cheers,

LOL, transferring games to Mt Smart will no longer be an option if Auckland Regional Stadiums get their way and it gets turned into a speedway. And if Eden Park weren't available, what would be the backup option? Kiwitea?

Bill McKinley?  Will Mt Smart number 2 be available if the stadium circus actually happens?

Bill McKinley?

Would they be prepared to play men's internationals or A-League games on turf?

theyre not sold out, but just not on sale. there hasnt been enough ticket sales to put those seats for sale. once the main stand gets full then they'll go on sale

We need people to show up, our metrics will go through the roof! 20min silence and then a countdown like they did in the Bundesliga a few years ago could be the right answer.

I've bought my ticket, have not been able to see the Phoenix since they were last in Auckland so I will be going.

If the official YF decision is to boycott then I will at least watch from the concourse so my seat remains empty.

I copied this from my comment on another thread, sorry but applicable twice......

I can see this from two other angles.

1) it is hard enough for us to get people to walk in in the first place.

2 ) just get the camera crew to focus on the empty ends if the ground or have all the fans move from the main stand to the ends of the ground so that the main stand looks empty.

I dont plan on driving 800 miles just to walk out and then drive 800 miles more...- sounds like a Roly song

Keep buying your tickets and attend the game this weekend if you can. YF statement about the boycotts from other groups will be coming out later today.

Make banners:

NO FANS = NO FOOTBALL

STAKEHOLDERS, NOT CUSTOMERS

NO APPEALS, NO JUSTICE

INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY

TERRACES NOT TERRORISTS

FANS UNITED - FFA MUST ACT

The more banners the better.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.
