All the people that think the game should be played in Wellington are not thinking clearly. If the boot was on the other foot would we be happy to play our home game away. I think not.

Haven't we had less home games than some others in the league though? Why do we have to go to Brisbane twice, and didn't we also have to go there twice last year?

I don't think it would be that unfair to play it in Wellington considering the above.

There are some teams that have to play us twice in Wellington. eg The Jets
yeah, Brisbane haven't though for the past two seasons. I would have thought it would have been appropriate for us to have them twice at home. But its difficult to make the draw you you've got to givew them grace. Since everyone has the same number of home matches now, it would be unfair for Brisbane Members to have a home match taken out, so fair enough in that regard.

Maybe play the game somewhere neutral. Play it at Bluetounge stadium. Closest to a home match for the Roar atm, as they only played there last night.

Genius idea. Why don't we do that every week. Maybe that was the hole in our marketing. If we just tell people to turn up they will.

The Phoenix have suggested that this is not ideal for them and that perhaps the FFA might like to take in to consideration the opinions of both sides involved.

dam right, 3 days after we beat Perth at home.
Not fair AT ALL. It's like, they travel one day and the game is the next day. We'd stand no chance.

Its a bit insulting that the Phoenix had not been involved in the discussions to start with. Im sure they would have been more accomodating if they had been more respected to start with.

anyone know when the news of where the match will be played be reported to the public? I know news has said they are still considering moving the match to Westpac Stadium, so curious to know.

My money is on Skilled Park. FFA twitter says decisions on abandoned games will be made January 17.

As an aside it is good to see the league and Australian football get right behind fundraising efforts for the Premier's flood relief appeal. Cahill is auctioning a shirt as well as an Everton package, CCM's Yellow Army had a good collection at Wednesday night's Roar game and the FFA have chucked in $100,000 for the appeal. Very good to see.

Any ideas for Yellow Fever initiatives perhaps?

He said in the Friday Sport section of the paper that having to go to Oz between the two home games will not help us make the playoffs at all.

Australia Day on the Gold Coast may be a nice break away for many...

Id be surprised if it was lower than 8 k. Especially if they can wrap up the minor (dont kill me, even as a Glory fan we were told by our owners and everyone that the grand final was the only thing that mattered) premiership.

I told a gold coast guy from the beach who I follow on twitter that he and his mates should go and support us, considering they need the roar to lose.
