Nowhere near good enough for the grand final.
Not really. The euphoria of last week aside in my opinion we have looked the least impressive of the top six, MC and Roar included. None of these teams fear us any more.

Bit stupid of Boxall to keep going when he caused it.
Didnt mean to this this back there, meant to quote it, and say nonsense

We are clinging to 5th at the moment (disregarding Perth)

Okay so in our last 3 home games we get completely overrun and outscored, giving away early goals, and only once manage a lucky last minute comeback and now again are 2:0 down you seriously think we are Grand Final contestants?
We're 4th or 5th best in the league in my opinion.

That kinda means we are like Stoke or West Ham, that is a depressing thought

We have been shark for 4 weeks, thats kinda a fact. Great season but weve done ourselves a disservice these last few.

We have been mediocre for weeks, scrapped a win last week but other than that we have been rubbish, like I said, too many on here think it is ok, we, the players and the club should not accept it, or worse think its ok like so many do here

Fine. If this is mediocre and its season over, log off, shut the PC down and watch the netball or something else.
Seriously. Put your money where your mouth is or STFU.

Sydney are our bette Noire. This experiment with Louis has failed big time. No incision. Much better off with Krishna or Cunningham. I think this is down to a coaching error. We need Roly making the big runs through the midfield and releasing players...
It's not really about being in a position to claim 2nd spot, it's about momentum, morale, effectiveness on the park. Fact is for a while now we have been lacking in all these departments. Yes it's finals football and anything can happen, but you need to go into them if not looking like you can win then at least thinking you can. At the moment you could blow us over we look that fragile.

I'm unhappy with the desire, the finish, the pace, the cohesion, the energy, the hunger and the number of goals we haven't been scoring. It has been mediocre the way we have been missing penalties, not creating enough chances and then conceding...
Think if we rejigg the personnel we could turn it around....
The difference with this team is I feel we are never out of any game. We can go on scoring runs and win from any situation. Phoenix till I die!

Doesn't matter whether we're in for second or not, when you continuously fall behind 2-3 to nothing at home at the business end of the season, that's what I'd call a season falling to pieces.
Man the build up to those two were almost exactly the same - plenty of time for our defenders to shut the attack down early well clear of the box, but both times failing to. Not enough urgency to meet their attack, just waiting for it to approach. And it's cost us.
Jeff we don't have a fullback who can defend 1v1 Boxall Muscat and Fenton have proved that all season good going forward but woeful defending in wide areas.
game's not gone yet... fenton and lia off, switch to 4 4 2... score first etc....slow them in transition.... etc
Boy we have short memories. How many on here would have said we would get in the top four at the start of the season. I for sure did not. We have done exceptionally well and have exceeded my expectations by playing some fantastic football this year. Sure we are not playing as well as we were but how about giving Sydney some credit. I say over two months ago that they would be the team to beat and I still think thay are.
They have killed us on the flanks with pace and skill. Am very surprised that Ernie has not fixed this.
I am still proud that we will be in the top six.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
I wonder if so many on here would be so fudgeing miserable if Roly had nailed that penalty and we lead or were at least level at the break???
Cheer up folks. Nobody is really accepting mediocrity but a season is 27 matches long. You cant put our final finishing position on the league down to just one match.

The contrast is amazing. When Sydney get the ball they attack at pace, knowing we are vulnerable. When we get it we hold it up, or play the pass just behind the wide man who is practically at a standstill anyway. Earlier in the season our fast counterattacks terrorised defences, now we look a bit confused and lost.

I do agree to a point. We're lucky so many sides around us have been as consistent (or inconsistent) as us. I've lost track of how many weeks the top 5 have all failed to pull away from each other. You wouldn't get away with it in the EPL that's for sure. We dropped so many potential points in the last 5 weeks it's insane - teams would kill for playing as many closing games at home as we've been given - and we've absolutely butchered it.
Well I felt exactly like this at half time last week. Does that mean we will win??
Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Put my money where my mouth is, WTF does that mean. I just dont think accepting second best (of 5th best) should be encouraged. I bet you are one of those liberals that agree they shouldnt keep score in junior sport
