...We are aware there are children in the Yellow Fever zone but will not encourage it....

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Used to love refereeing BNU. Enjoyed the 'banter' from the
sidelines and the stuff I used to get from Sandy and Chris S,
amongst others, on the park wasn't bad either.Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

i can see some of the under 16's been annoyed but, its their parents that are going to be the ones that complain to the stadium and the club when their kids come home smelling of beer etc, usual thing, these parents want to send their children to the football but dont care where they sit what they do until one of them gets into trouble.

Tony
I went to my first footy game as a 12 year old (Swindon Town vs Port Vale for the record) and have had a passion for the game ever since, when I say a passion for the game I'm not just talking about what happens on the pitch.
The Town End at the County Ground was the equivalent of the Fever Zone, it contained the group of supporters that generated the atmosphere. As a kid, nothing that compared to standing in the Town End and getting caught up in overall experience of a Saturday afternoon, learning the chants, celebrating the goals (like no other part of the ground) becoming a recognised regular, getting the bottle to try and start a chant for the first time (and the relief when others joined in), Saturday afternoons have given me some of my fondest childhood memories. Not once did I feel in any danger, threatened or uncomfortable, if anything I knew that as a kid others would look out for me. Of course I heard bad language and occasionally saw individuals acting like idiots, but I heard nothing that I hadnt heard in the playground and seeing the idiots made me realise that wasnt the type of supporter I wanted to be.
The years spent in the Town End as a kid have shaped me into the supporter I am today, there are many words I could use to describe the way I support my team but the one that I think really counts is loyal. The Phoenix are now seeing the benefits of the supporting through thick and thin mentality that my growing up with STFC has given me. For the sake of the club in years to come please give the kids a chance to be a part of the amazing atmosphere of the fever zone, if you get it right now youll have laid a solid foundation for not only years to come, but generations. Think about how good you'll feel when you walk around our fair city and the Phoenix shirts outnumber those from Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Cheers
