Yes - the Nix are one of the rare organisations that know "student " = "tertiary".

Oh awesome. Thank god for that. Because I don't know where I'd get an extra 100 from

If the Nix youth went ahead, and the games were played at the ROF before Nix clashes, do you think season passes will get you to those games too?

I don't see the point in getting a season membership this season at $245, last season I went to most games but was not a season member and was going to join this season.

At $245 our 11 home matches are $22.27 each.  I feel I am better off to pay the $25 a game again in case I cannot make even just one match then the season ticket works out more expensive.

...just not seeing value at those prices

And before anyone says there are 13 home games I am not counting the Chch and PN games.

Nar $25, $6 booking fee but if you go with 10 people it is  not much of a biggie.  I wanted to sign up this season but I think it should provide better value, eg $18-20 a match

$25 was the nominal price I think, but there was $2-3 booking fee as well. I had to get some tickets for a couple of friends for one of the games, and think the two cost $56. Or thereabouts.

weren't last years memberships $225??? I'm pretty sure that's the case and for existing members there's that 2 week window to renew at last years price which works out at $20.45 for the 11 wgtn based home games and $17.30 if you get to the chch and palmy ones.

Also, isn't part of the point of buying the season ticket supporting the club? In other words, you don't buy the season ticket simply because it's better value for money, but to show commitment and loyalty to the club.

I mean, if you can't afford it - that's fine, there's obviusly things like mortgages/rent/bills/food that always take priority. But if you can afford it, but choose not to because it's not as good a deal as you want/expect it to be, well, I have to say, that's disappointing to me.

I agree!
The plan for most is to go to every home game, so you start the season with the ticket to go to all games, if for some reason you can't get to it at least you've supported the club financially.

El G - normally I'd completely agree with you. However, taking games away from Wellington takes away from the equation a little i.e. the loyalty doesn't feel two-way anymore.

Disappointing to hear as we had no choice but to move the games away. Our preference was always to play here in Wellington.

Couldn't agree more - assuming affordability isn't an issue get behind your club.

If there are a couple / three games you can't go to lend your ticket to a mate - who knows he might catch the fever.

Everyone's priorities for purchasing will vary, but for a silver family pass, an increase of $25 is very modest and affordable. We caught the fever after the home match against Sydney, but could only go to three other matches (times weren't right for young kids or other things on).

This year the times seem much more family frieindly and there is the bonus of going oop th' road to see my old stomping ground ("Oh Palmy North is wonderful, it's got Country, Western and MacDonald's, Oh Palmy North is wonderful").

Just wishing that 8 June wasn't so far away.

I'm happy to fork out for my season ticket up front...in one amount of $225 last year and $245 this year....

Hope that money goes towards paying for Greenacres dinner one night in his new city, or towards rewarding loyalty to Leo for coming home and playing for a pro club in his own home town....

May work out cheaper overall to buy tickets match by match if you miss a game or two, but I haven't missed one yet.....and like the collection of Nix season Tix I'm collecting and the great moments that have come with them....

Home games away, great work, out of the clubs hands but a great new challenge and certainly two epic weekends up ahead this season....

Can understand what people are saying about it being cheaper. But agree with the points about supporting the club. Not going to be good if the membership numbers drop considerably, especially with them being the same price.

I'm probably gonna get the Season pass even though I usually work sundays. I think its one of those things that you really should do. It makes us feel closer to the club and a tight club community and supporters will lead to a positive team.

Hopefully I will have 4+ new season ticket holders all waiting for that Perth game

Still debating over all four of us  buying an extra ticket just to give to  a mate each week to get them hooked too.

Commiting to a season ticket needs to be carefully thought about this season.  I have always been happy to purchase one straight away, and agree with people that there is a certain pride in coughing up the money and showing your support for the club before the season has begun.  However as a season progresses, you never know what the club will be coming up with in terms of deals to attract supporters.  For the first time this year my son will need a ticket but do I really want to buy a child's season ticket only to have children come free deals with an adult ticket later on in the season.  From my very one eyed perspective as a parent bringing kids, I would like to have seen a very cheap ($1/$10) child's season ticket up to the age of 12.  Believe me parents more than make up the financial loss to the club in terms of shirts etc.  And what is better, a stadium with 6,000 fully paid up or the potential for a much larger, noisier crowd?

All good points - I guess it's up to each of us to decide the best way to support the club given our individual circumstances.

What's important is we, in our own way, keep supporting the club and keep spreading the word.

Seniors concession season ticket pricing available for renewing members but not new members.

We don't think seniors need, deserve, would appreciate concession season ticket pricing any more ?

I would have thought that continuing to offer concession pricing to seniors would encourage familys to shout grandad or nana a season ticket to join the family and be consistent with the family targeting of the Nix.

Possibly concerned about potential heart attacks due to the nature of being a Nix supporter!

Only missed one game but paid at the gate for all of them as I left getting a season ticket too late.

Not sure of getting a membership this season now either. I know for a fact I will be missing 2 home games so I'd only be saving about $6 per game and while that's ok, paying the cash up front is the problem (at the moment at least, personal circumstances should hopefully change).

When will the cut off date for buying a membership be? The main reason I didn't buy last season was because I was told there was no way I'd have my actual membership before the start of the season and would instead have to muck around buying tickets and then getting reimbursed etc. Decided it wasn't worth the hassle in the end.

If anyone has an issue with renewing their season ticket - eg problems with the site to login etc, Adam Lynch at the club is your problem solver. The guy is an awesome fella and yes, there maybe some issues with online services and ticketec. But this guy solved them immediately.

The main thing to know is that your logon ID is your membership number (will be on back of your previous season ticket) and not your email address.

Not that I knew that either - until I phoned to find out why my email address was invalid!

ah but as we found out today, my membership number on my season ticket, doesn't match the one on their internet data base.

So existing senior citizens can renew their snr cit membership (thought I would just check this before I launch a tirade on behalf of my father)?

It's actually encouraging that these issues are now being picked up. I had a similar problem last year - membership number / address stuff up. When I called this year to renew the very helpful lady picked up the errors straightaway.

I think the ticketing may be getting sorted out - give the ticket hotline a call if you have any issues (384 2457).

Agreed. I had a couple of issues again this year (logging in, wrong price etc) but unlike last year they all got cleared up very promptly. The people on that hotline seem to be pretty onto it and very helpful.
If I actually get my ticket before round 5 this year I'll be really impressed!

Steve, it took less than 5 mins on the phone and ticketek had it solved for me. Their attitude was excellent and they were genuine with their concerns. Maybe I was just lucky and spoke to the right people. See the other thread regarding that.

Yes I'm sure - when I logged in to my account I could renew my parents senior memberships online at last years prices. I had to change a few other details so ended up renewing on the phone - again no problem to renew the senior memberships at last years prices.

Suggest you call the ticketing hotline 384 2457 and renew over the phone or alternatively renew online via the account holders account.

What we were talking about is the renewal form Whitby. There is no box to tick for Snr Cit nor any mention. It is available though - just not sure what you are supposed to do on the form.
