I note with only 11 of the 13 home games being in Wellington, does this mean no increase in last seasons season ticket prices??

I'd hope not! I'm not prepared to pay more when the product I'm receiving is not better or increased in some way!

Queenslander 3x a year.

Even though we'll stll be given access to the two outside Welly games, season tickets MUST BE KEPT THE SAME PRICE or even potentially lowered for certain packages etc. A lot of though needs to be put into it because we're fighting a recession here

True Oska, the recession. The average off the street punter found $30 a tad too much and possibly why we had lower attendences. i hope the club are taking note of this.

No doubt a lot will travel to Palmy, not so sure about CHCH though. Again, the prices of travel etc. It might make a great trip but it still costs.

Season ticket prices will be announced shortly. Huge incentive for existing members to sign early. Stay tuned for full details. Tony P2009-04-20 20:30:01

I wonder if the club has tried to get a bit creative with the membership packages.  Was thinking along the lines of a Sunday Family Membership Package to get acess to the 5 'more family friendly' sunday games.

The 3pm kick offs will certainly improve things for local families to return.

Emails a bit of a have really, celebrating the fact we are getting two more games and are facing no increase in cost. Well actually we are getting the same amount of games for the same price and are being offered free tickets to games that it will cost us to travel to.

Talk about glass half empty.....

We will be going on both mini-road trips and (hopefully) Brisbane in November.  Very happy with this deal.

Would like ticket prices to stay the same. They wont go down. As for the recession . look at the warriors. Good quality and the season ticket are up and the crowds are up considerably. Can"t blame that on recession. Just a ploy of the rugby boys because rugby recently has been rubbish

I think holding season ticket prices for existing members, with the 2 extra away "home" games included for those who want to travel to one or both, is a good call - as is extending the family option to 1 adult and 3 children as well as the 2 + 2 option.

IMHO the club's on a roll - got the location of the away "home" games spot on, signed Greenacre and got the season ticket pricing right and rewarded existing members.

Now for the 2nd striker .........

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

So when can we expect prices to be announced for people who aren't existing members?

I am hoping it's not more than last season as that's not likely to attract many newcomers?

Unless you're chucking in flights and accomodation (what idiiot decided to put the ChCh KO time so the game ends after the last flights back), then I can't see any incentive capable of rescuing the pre-season disappointment this year. I'm actually feeling nostalgic for Ticketek... at least I got to all the home games for the last two seasons.

Nope. Unrealistic not to increase.

Can't you save $10 a week?

Not that my personal circumstance makes right or wrong the loss of home games, but any money saved goes into the house repairs fund. If I take money out of that fund for football or if I hide money from that fund for football, I will be made forcibly single! And such selfishness would pretty much warrant it too.

(And $10 a week between now and December is about $300 - it will cost more than twice that for the family.)

Looks like you should just get a second job or cop it sweet then.
The games happening so what can you do?
Whinging about it because you can't go is nobodys fault but yours.
Nothing you can do except go or watch it on the TV.
Is it really that bad?
Maybe you should look at how other counries are and get it in perspective

Right.

If we're going to invoke the perspective clause, then none of us would ever go to football.

I sincerely hope you never complain about anything ever; I'd hate to think you hyprocritical.

I'm very happy with the deal offered by Phoenix management and myself and my partner will deifintely renew!! Awesome effort to keep costs manageable to try and attract all the current members while hopefully being able to at least expand the member base a little.

Botafogo - Rio de Janeiro and Wellington Phoenix, my two teams til death do us part.
