SEASON TICKETS

Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone could tell me if you need to produce ID every time you use the season pass at the game?  Im asking this because my girlfriend was going to purchase a season pass but can't attend a couple of games, and I was going to use it on those occasions so I dont have to buy a seperate ticket.

no, no ID needed.  all our 8 season tickets have the same name on them and no probs

Nope. I'm on a kiddies ticket and the only time I was IDed was at the pre-season match when it was free...

sweet as ... one other thing about the season membership , i was wondering with the discounted tickets you can get, is that if you buy tickets at the gate only? or even if you purchase tickets online or over phone? i got a mate that wants to attend most but not all and doesnt want to buy a season ticket, so discounted tickets sounds good.

You've picked it up wrong mate, buying a season pass means YOU are receiving a discount on what you would normally pay at the gate for tickets if you didn't have a season pass. Your friend is still gonna have to pay full price unless he buys one too.

Great result last night!! Go the Nix!

yea i knew that i was recieving a discount on my own tickets, but i just saw in the membership info that you get discounted gate tickets, so thats what i was askin about.

is the junior ticket price, for just juniors or does it include student ID cardholders?? I was just wondering cos i have a student ID, but didnt see any option on Ticketek for Student ID holders, but when you buy a Season ticket, the option is there.

From what I've seen 'junior' prices are for children, student IDs and pensioners.  This is both for season tickets and gate sales.

Nickel has it right. Kiddies tickets are for Student ID holders also. And old farts.

so the kiddie ticket option on Ticketek is also for Students then?  From what I read somewhere else, the only option to buy a ticket at a student rate is at the gate, apart from Season Tickets.

Yup. And Mum even had to ring up Ticketek to make sure (my brother was getting worried)

That's the thing, you can't select concession as an option on the site, only an adult and kids option.

Kids == concession.

man I just rung Ticketek and asked if I could get a season pass, and they told me they think theyre not available anymore! However, it doesn't say anything about them not being available on the Ticketek site ... is Ticketek all bullsh*t?

Did you call the special Phoenix Ticketek number 04 384 2457 ???  They are only doing Phoenix tickets - I had to leave a message, but they rang back within a couple of hours and were really helpful - managed to get us seats in the Fever Zone.  They sent us out paper tickets for this weekend but said our passes and packs SHOULD be sent out next week - apparently they're waiting for the right plastic stuff to print the season passes on to come from overseas.  Good luck!!

Yep I did call that number and left a message ... I can't imagine that all Season Passes are gone, considering theres a lot of seats empty AND its only been two home games, but who knows :) ... thanks Feverette

Is this reported 'close down' of season tickets anything to do with a re-evaluation of their worth, given the recent announcement of L.A. Goldenswingers coming into town ?

Check the small print...does the club reserve the right to change price of season tickets at any point during the season? They might do it under the spin of a 'mid season' pass?

Am I being cynical?

Prob not - its just ticketek is really slow. You will prob have to just keep bugging them.

The season tickets are valid only for the regular season A-league games, so the Galaxy game has nothing to do with it.

That's right, as we do for the playoffs should we make them - and we will

A guy here at work told me today that he is trying to buy 2 more season tickets and ticketek told him that they can't send them out until next week because they've run out of the blank plastic cards.

Classic, another example of their ineptitude.

I am alright as all my family are psychotic too. But we are lucky to get what we get for the low prices we pay. $400 for season tickets for 4 for a family! It's staggeringly good value. (I don't know how much the Tui is, but I see a few people staggering upstairs carrying it, too. I agree with the guy who said you could forego that if it all seems too steep (the prices not the stands).

But on the subject of steep stands I had a tour of the Nou Camp a few weeks ago you seem nearer the pitch at the back there than when you are half way up at the Ring of Fire (damn that curry) - partly because the stands are steeper but also they are nearer the pitch (our stadiums are built for bloody cricket!!!). But no coplaints about the Westpac - we're lucky with that too. But I think, in reply, the corner is the best place to be: it is closer to the pitch than on the centreline.

I might have - only might have - made more sense if I'd realised there were 27 other pages to this thread after the first one - duh -

I'd assumed WPFC  used the word psychotic in it's colloquial sense. Apologies if this was not the case.

Yeah, Camp Nou is an amazing ground to watch football at, but it's a purpose-built football stadium, and we probably won't have one of those in a wee while...

No would need many years of regular decent crowds - but who knows. This is getting off the topic --but I wonder if NZ needs two teams (perhaps one in Auckland we can dislike and look forward to beating (and maybe travel to in numbers)) to really generate a national feeling for the game. --- then agan walking befor running is goodaladdinkiwiland2007-09-23 17:45:39

Hi all Nix fans,  got my plastic fantastic in this mornings mail so i'm happy , not having followed this thread from the start I may be repeating some earlier comments, for what it's worth though:-   As I'm retired I get a seniors discount, which is around half price, so if any of you are in this age group (or know of someone who is) it might be worth while sharing the information, provided they are still selling season tickets. According to this mornings paper we have 2,300 members, wouldn't it be great to get it up to 2,500 or more?

Ive just ordered my season  2011 season ticket and have been informed by Tickatec that it should be in the post by the third game of that season!!

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

Ours turned up yesterday after a wait of about two weeks - just the plastic cards, no pack but at least we can get into the game.

I'm missing at least a couple of games but for me getting a season pass was about two things

1)  Showing my support of the club - and what better way than giving them a revenue stream :)
2) Making my life easier when I do go to a game.  No buying tickets, no extra fees, no sorting payment from my mates (5 of us got season passes at the same time)

Anyway - the plastic's in town so anyone waiting should get them soon........

Im not a complete idiot, some parts are missing!

I ordered 5 weeks ago and ONE turned up yesterday. I phoned Ticletek's no. on 384 2457 and Vienna told me each one is posted out separately.  That doesn't seem particularly smart.  But here's hoping I'll get more before this weekend
