Quite the opposite  - we'd spend $180 for a season pass to spend 90mins every other week standing at the bar!!!

Shouldn't that be " We'd borrow $180......."

BTW, saw all the goodies that are being given away with the season tickets. Any word on when, and if, this stuff will go on sale to poor unfortunates like myself who had to move away from Welly 'cos they were stupid enough to get jobs in JAFA land

classic.. hahahahah.. us scots would be borrowing that

ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

I was considering buying a season pass even though I won't make a single game this season...

But then I didn't know who to give it to.

Any takers? Or better yet, if I donated a season pass to YF, can it be used by anyone? I don't know the politics of multiple entry ticketing (though we use my family's Hurricanes pass with just about anyone...)

should be alright for anyone to use.i got told by the phoenix person organising seat allocation that no names go on the pass

i think the price is more than reasonable and im glad to see most people agree, will be interested to see how many go on though. will be interested to see how many go though we got about a group of fifteen i think, all got season tickets. Lookin forward to next weeks match and then on to the start of the season. see its been changed to newtown will have to get there early if you want a seat in the stand!!!!!!! Anyone know how many tickets sold for that game, most peolpe will pay on the gate i suspect?

I dont think they will know how many they have sold to Newtown - as they are just passing them on to the footy clubs to sell

By the way, I would like to think that every Yellow Fever member, especially those on this forum, are buying a season ticket (well at least if you live near Wellington). You can't just talk the talk and not walk the walk. If you are a footy supporter then go get one now - in the Yellow Fever Zone!

Feverish, i'd love to grab a ticket, but it just isnt practical in the south island...is there going to be a 'friends of the phoenix' club or something along those lines? eg: members get to vote for MVP and get other little bonuses

Yeah fair enough - just try and get to a game some time.

Dont know about 'friends of the Phoenix', but being a YF mbr is better than that anyway

God Ive just been checking the Phonix home games schedule. Lots of bloody Friday night games. Can't see me getting there from Whakatane for them. I was hoping for Saturday games. and theres only ONE in the whole A League season. All Friday night or Sunday. There goes my hopes of getting to half a dozen games.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

friday night games will be good because you'll have all the people who play footy on saturdays there having a good time. while sunday games will be primarily full of families, but the more people there the better. don't get me wrong, i'm slightly disappointed that there is only one saturday night game, but the a-league is primarily moved around for the NRL and AFL game times.

If your theory is right, it'll be interesting to see what difference in numbers there is between the Friday and the Sunday crowds.

I'll probably try and fly down for a couple of the Friday games but I don't think I'll make any of the Sundays

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Did you just make that up?

Of course you did. The NRL and AFL seasons only have a slight overlap.

Whats your reason to suggest that
"friday night games will be good because you'll have all the people who play footy on saturdays there having a good time. while sunday games will be primarily full of families".
The footy season finishes end of August for most. Why would you think families wont go on friday nights? Sounds like a lot of BS to me.

How much are they charging you for seasons tickets? Do you have a classified 'supporters section' which offers you a cheaper rate?

Not to brag or anything, Toronto FC seasons tickets only cost me $200 for 15 games and 3 Friendlies (One vs. Benefica, and one next week vs. Aston Villa).

$200 Canadian is about $60,000 New Zealand.

Our season tickets are NZ$184 for 10 games (about $0.25 Canadian) but we don't get any pre-season games against mediocre european opposition - we get to play a Central League select team, who are probably the equal of Aston Villa.

Frankie, You may not be aware, but the exchange rate shifted again this morning. $C1 is now worth $NZ80,000.

And by the way, when asked what he thought of the Central League selection, Martin O'Neil was quoted as saying: "Wouldn't want to have to face them, ever. They've simply got too much quality for the lkes of most European squads. The level of football in the Central League is beyond that whihc most of the Premier Legaue players could cope".

That will explain why Miramar Rangers chose not to sign Marlon Harewood then.

A friend tells me Aisle 21 is full, they're filling up Aisle 22 now. But don't take this as Gospel, it's only what I've heard.

the Yellow Fever zone is not sold out - would take a major effort to sell season tickets for a whole aisle - but after yesterday who knows!

I wonder if there will be a spike in seasons ticket sales this week as result of the weekend?

Anybody know what the current number sold is?
