Piney was good, I thought he talked a bit to much and got a bit to overexcited. But much better than the other guy who clearly has no plan, just blurbing along. The co-moderator was even more useless besides Piney, he could add nothing of value to it. Piney need someone like Ifill who is closer to the game and talk from experience on the field and actually can see when a player shows 'individual brilliance'.

Could not possibly agree more Ifill/Piney would be an absolute dream
I liked the fact he actually talked about what was going on rather than waffling on about mindless crap not relating to the game.
Dewhurst still goes on about the 2010 AWs...

So do I to be honest :)
I think Dewhurst and de Jong do it from the Mt Wellington studios (I read that on here courtesy of Chopah I think)
nope not me - I have no idea on that.
Apologies. I thought it was you that mentioned it ages ago which is why I was vague.
Grumpy old bastard alert
Who's the Fox Sports commentator? Is it Robbie Slater? When Sigmund committed the foul on Milligan (penalty) the commentator said 'Yeah, that's a freekick'.
Hear it at 01:05.
Watching this again (and again and again) just make me so happy.
The football we are playing is the best since 09/10...
I'm looking forward to the end of season DVD!
Anyway, I don't really want to distract this thread away from the one true narrative:
Dewhurst - OUT
Piney - IN

If anyone has time, that would make a good banner...
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Fair enough.

I think Piney was still in radio mode. When you can't see what's happening, you need the commentator to do more talking. Understandable that he'd take a while to adjust, but I think he did a fine job and would only get better with more telly experience. Having Iffy in the seat next to him would be superb, that's your SKY commentary dream team in the making, right there.
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
