Yellow Fever went OFF when we scored, was absolutely amazing.
Interesting point... They showed replays of all fouls and goals... apart from Paynes handball goal
No balls to show it.

Midfield players not at the stadium for the first half, also too much space between banks of players for the Phoenix. If you've lost three times in a season to the same team, you MUST keep compact and make the other team play in front of your 8 [not 3 or at best 4] defenders/midfielders.
That said ...

That's a lie. The Durante goal wasn't shown at all. I'm not saying there is anything untowards about that goal (I wouldn't know - I've not seen the replay and we've been soft on defending set pieces of 5yrs) ... But it definitely wasn't replayed.
Numerous fouls also weren't shown - which is the same every week. No conspiracy here.
Tough luck on the Payne handball, but it's not much different to the "handball" call that saw Melbourne win in ET last week, so I can't pretend to feel a lot of pity. The officiating in this comp is poor, everyone gets hit by it at some point.
At the end of the day, I think the 4-2 scoreline flattered your side if anything. The second half was all Sydney, and Reddy made far more stops than Bolton did. Over 90mins we definitely proved we're the better side, and we're deservedly off to Melbourne next week.
Again congrats on a good year, congrats on the great numbers here this week, and FTT.

Your squad, much like ours, overachieved this year. It's a credit to Herbert that he found Ifill who carried you in several parts of this season. Your central defence isn't HAL title quality, and your central midfield lacks any real creativity (notably with the flop that is Diego). On paper your squad should've battled for 6th, and it's really a credit to Herbert and Ifil (and possibly David Mitchell for being a terrible coach)l that you came 4th and got to the the Prelim.
Greenacre is a great signing who does far more than his goal tally suggests. He's a key player for you next year, and with a few key signings (key CB to replace McKain, key CM to do what Diego should've done, and key CF to replace Chen/Dadi would be my first suggestions) you're title contenders. RH has a bit of cap to spend in the off season with certain players off-contract, and if he spends it well you'l be back again in better form next year.

This better not be true, I'm angry on the basis that noone saw it, but if the Ref saw it and tries to explain it away like that.....
Great year for the Phoenix. Thanks guys. Outcoached last night as Sydney exposed the weaknesses we all know about, and while spitting about the handball goal, at least this club is on the map, and recruitment of quality players will be easier than it was this time last year. Gruelling finals schedule caught up with some legs last night, which is understandable.

GET YOUR SHIRTS OFF FOR THE BOYS
Good morning.
The state of the pitch was even more disgusting. I've seen a paddock in better nick
Sending-off Offences
A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off if he commits any of the following seven offences:
 serious foul play
 violent conduct
spitting at an opponent or any other person
denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball (this does not apply to a goalkeeper within his own penalty area)
denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the players goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick
using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures
receiving a second caution in the same match

What a sh*tter.
The whole game could have been completely different if that bloody handball was seen.
jesus.
No problem - you haven't been alone in erroneously thinking it was a sending off.
Disciplinary sanctions
There are circumstances when a caution for unsporting behaviour is required when a player deliberately handles the ball, e.g. when a player:
deliberately and blatantly handles the ball to prevent an opponent gaining possession
attempts to score a goal by deliberately handling the ball
A player is sent off, however, if he prevents a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball. This punishment arises not from the act of the player deliberately handling the ball but from the unacceptable and unfair intervention that prevented a goal being scored.

Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with his hand or arm. The referee must take the following into consideration:
the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand)
the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball)
the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an infringement
touching the ball with an object held in the hand (clothing, shinguard etc.) counts as an infringement
hitting the ball with a thrown object (boot, shinguard etc.) counts as an infringement
All those saying the handball didn't influence the result don't know football. It changed the whole game as we had to chase the game, and were exposed as we were pushing forward. We weren't great last night, but we didn't deserve to go down like that.
Considering the lack of cards for some dreadful tackles, the amount of cynical diving by Sydney, particularly Bosque, and that "goal", the ref should be lucky to officiate again.
Poor crowd, poor morals, poor pitch, poor Sydney.
Next year Phoenix!
Looking forward to next season. The challenge is to now to repeat the form and style of the latter stages of this season to show we ain't one-hit wonders.
Go the 'Nix! We love ya.

More to do with FIFA not allowing contentious decisions to be shown on the screens at grounds & I think Paynes goal qualifies just.
