I understand liquidation as selling off a company's assets.
If the Phoenix were Liquidated - how much do they think they're actually going to get? The biggest assets are obviously the players but unless they can pay their wages surely their contracts break (thus you can't sell them)?
And if they were trying to sell them they'd have to o bide by transfer windows and could mean real troubles?

it won't be the nix that get liquidated it will be the company that own them, ie century city football, in theory the nix are the asset, and the only real asset the nix have is the liscence to play in the a-league, and the players but they will all be gone before anything happens.

That didn't happen and now they need to tell us why. Tell us the truth because they were quite definite in making that statement. Newpapers also need to be accountable and not refuse to print something because its embarrassing to them.
Doubt it will be in the paper till saturday, if at all. Those sort of public notices go twice weekly, do they not?
