When you hear of so many chairman coming into football to make a big buck what a breath of fresh air for the game Terry was with his hunger and total dedication to The Phoenix.Hopefully Phoenix now in safe hands as The A League would be a huge loss without you guys..
Look forward to heading over to your wonderful city for the December game....see yas in the Backbencher...

Thank you Terry for bringing a little ray of sunshine to this eggball obsessed, black shirt ridden country of ours.  Onwards and upwards with the Phoenix, but always in your debt.

Your legacy will leave on.  Go the Phoenix.

Fact #1 - I didn't even watch football before the Phoenix
Fact #2 - Because the Phoenix existed, I got to work with a professional sports team (massage therapy)
Fact #3 - Because of the Phoenix introducing me to the awesomeness of football, I went to South Africa for WC 2010
Fact #4 (and i'm getting soppy here) - I've met LOADS of awesome people through being a Phoenix supporter

Because of Terry, the above things happened. It's fair to say Terry changed my life.

Respect x Huge respect x

End of an era.  Vinnie - It's over.

3. At least one Terry chant that becomes a staple and is sung at every game.

Yes please x 3.

Thanks Terry, i've never supported a team as closely as I have the Phoenix, and i'm a born and bred Aucklander! Legend.

Does anyone know the official date that the Phoenix were formed? That date should be named St Terry's Day and we should celebrate it here every year.

Terry, thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to support my local team as fantically as I do. Without the Phoenix (and therefore a successful All Whites team), I wouldnt have fostered the love of football that I proudly display every day.

Whilst you no longer play a managerial role within the club, your hard work and successful vision of the club will long be remembered and respected.

Next beer is on me!

Cheers,
Tim

Terry, I cannot express how great it is to support a professional football club representing Wellington every week. You have done great things for New Zealand football and you will always be remembered for what you have created. Thank you

Thanks Terry. The Phoenix adventure has been a damn sight better than that shirt you sold me...

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Thanks Terry.
We've been lucky enough to replace some of things you gave us, the folding kind, but your passion, enthusiasm and smile for football, that'll be tougher to replicate.

Go well, come back stronger.

Just thanks.

Respect to Terry. Things obviously didn't end well but the reality is without him we wouldn't even exist.

I don't understand you people. He was nothing but bad news for the club.how can you be sad to see him leave when he did not pay his staff/players in his business? Maybe now the club will achieve great things as I certainly hope they will.

Because without Terry we would not have had a Nix to begin with? Pretty simple really.

Thank you Terry, without you, I never would have even discovered football, or the incredible passion behind it. I never would have found the fantastic form of procrastination that is the yellow fever forum. The All Whites never would have done so well at the World Cup without you, and you are truely a marvel to New Zealand football fans everywhere. After going to the first ever phoenix game, my first football game, and being hooked from there, only ever missing one game at the cake tin, it's safe to say you've improved my life, and given me something to be passionate about.
Luff you long time.

Thank you Terry. Although I've been outside NZ for the entire existence of the Nix, the scenes I've enjoyed from Wellington are of the type I could only dream of growing up a 'soccer' player & fan in NZ. The fact you made it happen in my home town just makes it even better. All the best for your future endeavours.

PS

I'm all for:

- a YF Terry Tee
- a statue of Terry on the stadium concourse
- A Terry S. Day/ day dedicated to Terry each season

My son and I had the privilige of being with Terry and his family in their corporate box when Ifill was playing on trial. Ifill was playing well and I said to Terry "That Ifill looks like a bully who wont let the other team touch the ball, it would be good to sign him up" and unknown to me he already had. He didn't say a thing either. Great memories Terry!!!

Note Terry's fav drink is JD's & coke if you want to shout him a round.
