We'll probably end up with Brockie

I reckon Boxall and Brockie. Even though Brockie missed that sitter he looked confident and to me he's not that far off being a real talent..he seemed to hold the ball up good and showed good vision..well that's what i thought of him off the tv1 highlights this arvo anyway..

Why keep putting up names when we've already been told they are'nt available.

Several of the under 20's are off to school in the states so its no use to keep suggesting Pheonix sign them.

i doubt draper will sign for phoenix. hes still got to finish 7th form and he has had offers from overseas.

I have ever really talked up Brockie on this forum, in fact the opposite. He missed a sitter against Portugal yes, but he can't be blamed for the miss against Gambia, he hit the ball first time, only to be beaten by some very good keeping. Also, he set up keat with two good oppotunities.

Draper looks very good, but who is after him from overseas?

And I'd go for Boxall still. p.s who said our backs need to bulk up, have you seen Boxall, he scares the living sh*t out of me just looking at him on t.v.... he's one large angry looking cb.

I think it might have to be Brockie if the rest of the team are off to US Colleges. Are there any aussies youngsters available who want to play proffessional footy?
Has Roddy Brown been on the bench in this tournie?

Roddy is down as the third goal keeper so can't play.

Is he injured? Stu doesn't appear to want / rate him otherwise.

Hope to see a more attack minded team against Mexico.

It sounds like the Phoenix are looking for a right back so Sam peters would be a superb choice as one player.

Jeremy Brockie would surely have to get picked up as he has proved himself at this level.

It would certainly refresh the guys career.

Peters and Brockie for me!!!

If Boxall was available yes but hes going stateside to bulk up some more!!!

I like the look of Boxall for one spot at the Phoenix and Draper for the second.  Please, please, please not Brockie!!! He has really disappointed me since his great start with the Knights.  Has failed to fulfil his  early promise so far, but he is young and who knows may mature into becoming a better player than he is showing at the moment.

Boxall and Draper for me

I can tell you   right now - before he went away he wanted to go to the US via scholorship. That prevents him from signing with the WP.

I doubt its changed

Spoonley, Boxall and Jenkins are by far the best players in the team and maybe Draper these lads need to be in a professional environment as they have big futures in the game and are future all whites!

Its good to get an opinion of someone that was there. Thanks.

Keats has received mixed views on this forum. I think he may have potential but I was just dissapointed when he gave away some ball very easily. Plus his two finishing attempts were shocking.

His work rate, vision and long balls were good.

If we build it, they will come...

ok well see he did give away a few stupid balls but overall he played amazing and i would be glad to have him on my team any day. the kid has great potential and great ball control (most of the time) and amazing passing skills and the kids a friggn workhorse man he never stops. great player for captain

KEANE RELAXED ABOUT CHOPRA BACKROUND

...However, Keane insists he will recruit any player he believes can improve his squad regardless of where they were born or which clubs they have played for previously.

He said: "I don't care if they are from Newcastle or New Zealand, if I think they can come in and do a good job for the club, I will sign them....

could wikipedia have been seeing into the future?????????????

Interesting... I do love conspiracy theories and it did seem weird that Brockie wasn't asked to join the nix ahead of draper

(although Draper was better than Brockie i thought they might wait another year for him, for when our older strikers retire or leave).

Good for NZ if he does go.

is it good for NZ though? can you imagine the headlines if JB does get a contract there and plays like he did for the U/20s "Keane Kills Kiwi for Krappy Game"...it could be the end of young kiwis getting pro contracts in the UK

sorry, a bit harsh
