So what are some of the reasons for people not renewing?

Me, I'm living in Sydney now.

CAFC do half-price half-season ones, right about Christmas time.  Apparently that's a good time to sell stuff...

Currently you can get one (for next season) at the current price, whether they're L1 or Championship - it's quite interesting to see the flexibility they have in their offers.  But hey, that market has been going for about 100 years, not three.

Edit - HarryPeters, I'm heading overseas, not going to make a single game. Should be some good football where I'm heading

Stockport County did a 10 game pass that you could pick which games you went to in a season.
Not sure if it was such a good idea as they have been in administration for 9 months .

I'll be renewing my season pass this year & getting one for my daughter (as compensation for not taking her to Sydney !)

If they offered slightly longer payment terms I'm sure that would encourage more of the younger/ financially challenged fans to get tickets.

Good point Hatter - having a payment scheme available so that the old C/C had a chance to breathe!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

They need to attack the uni's a lot of students enjoy cheap entertainment and the season pass is fairly cheap for student entertainment.

The season just been was my 1st living in Wellington so i was skeptical about getting a pass. turns out i nearly went to every game anyway. Getting a pass this season upcoming for sure + a Nix shirt with player name on the back at some stage.

In it for the long haul.

Bout $180 last year. If you go to 10 games its already made up for it

I wonder if I (and other Uni students) should contact Tony P or the like about putting up flyers and stuff on the walls. They attract a HEAP of attention and there is like a billion places to put them.

Also advertise in the Salient student magazine. Thousands (i'm guessing but pretty sure. EDIT: "AdvertisingSalients print run is read by 16,000 students in the Wellington area each week during term time.")
read this every week and the ads aren't too expensive. Full front or back cover ads are bout $500 or something. Once they finalise prices they should def do this.

But yeah, a Phoenix Uni flyer squad is needed.

Wonder what sort of retention rate the Phoenix has for fans.Would be interesting to see how many of us inaugural members still remain. An idea for them would be to do what the warriors and hurricanes do and hit the phones to those who have had membership in the past. Then again given some of the cockups during the past 3 season i would hate to see the state of the membership data base.

I'm going from silver pass to benchwarmer - now I know what the players feel like after a demotion

From Tim Brown to Mulligan?

Not really.  Mully doesn't even make the bench. Boom!

I meant going from somebody who's at every game to somebody who isn't at any!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

It will be intersting to see how many of the previous season members who didn't renew last season come back in 2010/11.

I might just splash out and get a season membership so I have to come down for every game. I hate to waste money, so I could justify driving/flying/busing down each weekend. I expect the rest of you to do the same.

Doubt its a proper legit season pass, there's like a billion person waiting list for those.

Couldn't think of anything more boring then being a member at a corporate club like Arsenal or one of the big 4 tbh. Find a Championship club in London and get behind them!

Yeah not a season pass. Best I can do is Red Membership, which apparently provides the ability to buy tickets for 'most' games (excluding the biggies like man u and sp*rs).

Edit: cost is only like 30 quid for membership (tickets obviously on top). Arsenal2010-03-16 16:56:46

Lucky you're not then.

Would seem a bit strange to support Arsenal the last ten years then ditch it all of a sudden when I move to London. Arsenal2010-03-16 16:54:00

2009/10 Silver family membership was $545 (plus ticketek fee) for 13 games (11 in Wgtn, 2 not).

2010/2011 price if pro-rated would be around $630 for 15 games (although I guess there will be an increase over this as alluded by Tony P).

Fancypants are ya, Mr Incredible?  What with your flashy Championship...  In saying that, hopefully I'll be buying a season pass for a newly promoted Champioship team!

Question:  Is it possible to organise seating together for renewing members and first-time members?

At the start of the 2009/10 season existing members had a period to renew at discounted rates, but if this is repeated would you be able to get the discounted rate and still be able to specify that you would like to be seated with new members (who will register at a later date)?

Goes without saying really, but I'm renewing my membership. Managed to get at least one other new member along also. I've still got the price list from a couple of years ago somewhere, so will be able to compare the price rise for this season to then, but at the end of the day, its still pretty sharp pricing.

Pathetic. Not apathetic.

The info is on the ticketek site for the members (and fortunately i still remembered my username/pin).  Not mentioned there but originally on the nix site and in the membership info they sent out was the free entries to the two Home Away From Home games.

I wonder what the atmosphere is like in the lounge/corporate boxes. I 'm sure it would be very comforatable especially when our summer is in full swing (e.g. NQF game), but must be quite different from down in the FZ and surrounds.

Maybe like Aisle 29 but with comfy chairs...
