I wonder what the atmosphere is like in the lounge/corporate boxes. I 'm sure it would be very comforatable especially when our summer is in full swing (e.g. NQF game), but must be quite different from down in the FZ and surrounds.

Maybe like Aisle 29 but with comfy chairs...

I was in one for the NQF game, the one where we won and it was cold and wet.  Not the Summer one!  A box will really ddepend on who is there with you, I sat outside for the whole game and it was a bit lonely for the first half, but better in the second half as other people braved it to watch outseide too.

At the end of the day, though, you're surrounded by 24 people, not the thousands in the main stands.  Atmosphere of course is not the same.

And one thing I found interesting - they're not warm and cushy, the wind is stronger and colder up there, it's not as protected as in the bowl.  However you can nip back inside the warmth to get a free beer and use a toilet with no queue at any time...all about tradeoffs!

Cheers.  Actually that was the game I was meaning (we've got the best summer in the league).

Hi guys, I'm new here. I was thinking about getting a season ticket for next season and was just wondering how much this might cost for a student? I know the prices haven't been released yet, but based on last seasons how do you think they could be?

Well i've got to say that I'm pretty tempted to get a season ticket along with some other mates now, having seen the student prices. Only problem is that none of us have cars and I'm in Palmy so getting the bus down could add up.

I am really cofident that memberships will be up quite a bit this year. I know of 13 people who are seriously considering memberships for the first time, most only went to the last few games.

I was a season 1 & 2 member but flagged season 3 for 2 reasons.
1) since the birth of the nix my wife and i have had 2 girls, so it became increasingly harder to make games.
2) i Work at the BB and we get 4 comp tickets (curtesy of one of the nix sponsors)for every home  match so when i do find time to go, i just reserve the a ticket or 2.

seriously consdiering getting a family pass this year though.

Is the reason the Phoenix go through ticketek is because that's the agency FFA use?  So the Nix wouldn't be able to go rogue and go with another ticketing agency?  Might be harder for FFA to get their share of the takings.

Does anyone know for sure?

Don't think so, for a start I know Melbourne use Ticketmaster.

Would be awesome to use a a local business, especially because Ticketek seem to big to manage themselves.

Ifill or Leo's Dazzling skills could lead to them becoming Poster Boys...

Personally, I'd like to see the club do a 'half-a-season' membership to try latch onto some fans who can't make every game. Something like a pass that gives you entry to 5 or 6 home games of your choice.

It must be 4-6 weeks by now!*  I thought going to the TW game in the weekend would scratch an itch.  It just made it itchier.

Even the WC seems distant.

As an aside, went to the nix shop this arvo and they will get new gear sometime in July AFTER the WC.

This being a thread about season membership, anyone got a time/date when we can get the goods?

Schedule should be out soon (real soon) then the memberships a week or two after.

However the uncertanty over GCU will be creating a bit of a scheduling and membership pricing angst one would think.

Just an update on where we are at.

We are waiting for FFA to release the fixture so we know how many Home games we can get. If GCU stay which they will we will have 15 home games. One definitely to Christchurch and we will see if we move another - maybe a midweek game or a clash with the Stadium.  Mid May is targeted to commence the selling of memberships

Dont be so selfish, 1.5m loss, chance to get 20k of paying customers at a reduced stadium rate.
Do the maths..

By the way it is a lot cheaper to travel from Dunners..

Tony P. could we get the away games better organised this year?

For example, a sequence of away games including the Victory, Heart and Adelaide would be nice, I haven't been to Adelaide for ages,
or
a Newcastle and Sydney combo would be nice

Tony, if you can align the Nix away games with when Ashes tests are on in each city that would be excellent. Following the Nix and Ashes would be a dream come true.

Nah!  Home games every fortnight please. A month between games is unbearable.
