Well done LG

In time many here will regret not standing up and joining you.

They just haven't figured it out yet.

What if the point of the protest puts the team in a position where it struggles to find sponsors or be a viable entity and while many on here would love for the team to be exclusively wellington they realise that there are financial realities that it has to operate in?

People will only regret not protesting if they agree that the point of the protest is in the best interests of the team.

FFS what a crock of shark. Very surprised at the number of people i spoke to who agreed with idea of the protest but for some reason or another chose not to participate. Think the sooner the club realizes that YF are not the only supporters they have the better. Despite what some may think or claim some things have changed within YF and it isnt what it used to be.Yep i do realize things change and evolve but sadly you only have to look at those regulars who no longer participate to think something isnt right.

Can see the denials know.

The sign of a maturing football club is some old schoolers giving it the 'things were better back then' about supporters.

To be honest, things were actually better back in the early days. Fever Zone hasn't been as full as it used to be in a long time.

I am quite sure the small band assembled is going to be a huge threat to any major sponsor. If you believe that, good luck to you. But for my own point of view, I wanted to show some form and stand by my convictions rather than just accept what was done. I can sleep well at night.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I was replying to Auckland Phoenix not posting a statement.

I hope all those bemoaning the demise of the Fever turn up to the next Fever Hui with ideas on how to boost numbers to return the zone to it's former glory.

I'm more than happy to admit that had I actually been at the game, I would have had no issue whatsoever joining the protest - even if it was largely symbolic.  I fully understand what LG, Hatter and co are getting at and agree.  Some of the disparaging comments/ridicule on twitter regarding the protest from people that really should know better was disappointing to see.

Well that's an arrogantly specious statement.

People do have their own opinions you know.

The last time I suggested anything about increasing the participation in the  YF it involved making Patrick a mod and look how that turned out!

(I'm kidding).
