(Had to dust off my login etc and thought I better post an important subject)
Now that we have a sponsored/complete shirt, when (or will) we have a giant version to throw over our heads and shake and pull up the fever zone??

Is this a recession based decision?

Truthful answer: we can't afford it.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Completely.
They're thousands of dollars to have made.

The old Kingz ones were between $1200 and $1500, 8 years ago.

Ouch... HN, yours it is then.
Run down the bottom of the zone, take your shirt off and pass it up.
Problem solved.

Someone should put the idea to Sony, they would get excellent additional TV exposure from it.

If we all put $5 in to a giant shirt fund I'm sure we'd have one pretty easily.
Its no longer a problem.

Yeah, collecting 400 x $5 should be easy as pie...
NOT.

We should start a giant shirt fund for donations?
Just need a bank account number and the word spread.Dwyer2009-08-18 16:12:13

I think that putting it up to sony is a great idea surely they'd get behind it to get some more advertising!

Get a bucket at the kings and the backbencher and have a whip round, wont take more than 3 or 4 games to get the dosh.

Would be kinda cool if we had our own Yellowfever owned one. And none of the other clubs had one.
All Aboard the Phoenix/ All Whites Bandwagon!!

Giant Retro Ricki, niice, could have used the material from the Sheik outfit on that instead.
You know we belong together...

Leave the Sheik outfit alone. It's an institution already.

On the Hibs board that I post on, we all put money in to buy a giant shirt / flag - everyone who put in got their name on the flag.
The names were written in such a way that from far away it didn't look like it had names all over it (they were written in a different shade of green from the rest of the flag).
In fact here is a picture so you can see what I mean - http://www.bebo.com/PhotoAlbumBig.jsp?MemberId=3482963577&PhotoAlbumId=4365029438&PhotoId=4365281620
How about a big Yellow Fever flag with names on it?

what about black flag with the Phoenix logo on it - that way when the shirt changes again it can still be used?

get a ginormous one... absolutely massive so it covers the whole aisle...
a friend told me that one at St James Park got banned because it was so huge it got deemed a fire hazard... (sir les who posts on here in fact) now that's a big flag
Permalink
stadium nazis would probably ban people from wearing polyester if someone told them it was a fire hazard, i doupt there is much chance of getting anything bigger than what we had the last two years
Permalink
Had that fight with them over the Bloc 5 banner about 5 years back.

Might be alright since it's no-smoking in the stadium - that was probably the issue at newcastle

Like it, would be cool if after it went up to the back of the zone we had it put up in an empty area of the stadium, fill up some space and show the support. Would it be possible to just paint over the old one? More effort if we want it to look good, but I'd imagine it would be cheaper. Plus there seems to be Nix fans at Resene, perhaps they might want to help?

That's not a silly idea if they can make it look good? Definitely cheaper.
I guess we have to see what option is best to take regarding the shirt. I thought it may still be in production as we have only just got Sony back on board etc, that they may still be producing it.
But if that isn't the case, I suppose taking the idea to Sony etc, would be the first option.
Surely they have a couple of grand to spare? Recession or not...
If the FFA paid for it last time, why not this year I wonder?
Has anyone seen any Australian clubs with them this season?

Who ever said the FFA paid for it?

Perhaps it was a joke and I just missed the sarcasm?

Me... every club was given one of theose plastic strips by the FFA (or at least that is what I was told).

I like Steve-O's idea. Id pay 20 Bucks to get my name on a giant phoenix shirt or flag. I reckon a lot of people here would. If someone could think of a good way to get all the money, and then organize it.
Shotgun not.
