Lads,

Tony has posted some answers to questions on here and we have 'stickied' it at the top.  Any more questions, chuck them in here and we will try and keep Tony's answers in one place so it's the one FAQ spot instead of needing to trawl through 10 pages to find his replies.

I'll post Tony's reply in here as well.

I thought I would start a new topic and try and explain ticket process as it happens.

Game is confirmed Dec 1 2007 at 7.15pm

All season pass /members will be able to purchase tickets Oct 1 - Oct 3. Up to 8 tickets can be purchased by the season holders. If you buy tickets for non members then they will be at full price.

For members, seating for the Adelaide game will be as the same seat you get every game as is now. However you maybe in a different seat for the LA Galaxy game depending on the type of ticket you buy gold or silver.

For non members each person who buys a ticket will be given a voucher to be redeemed for the Adelaide game. You will need to redeem this voucher for an actual ticket for the Adelaide game at venues around town. (We will confirm this shortly)

For out of town people we will be asking you to call a Ticketek number and reserve a ticket for the Adelaide game if you want to come to the game We  will then have it ready for your collection at the ground on match day.

General Public sales will now occur Oct 11 to give Ticketek time to go through what has been sold to  members.

I'll try and answer questions as they come up but Ticketek will be able to answer all questions once the sale commences.

Cheers
HN.

At last, a topic on the Yellow Fever forums which appeals to the tax lawyer in me.  The rules are detailed, complex, ambiguous, obscure, and likely to be argued, debated, disagreed upon, and interpreted until 1 December 2007 and beyond.

Would it not have been simpler to just sell Galaxy tickets as a one-off?  Nice idea to try and promote the Adelaide game too, but as a non-season ticket holder (and the ticket organiser for 5 or 6 guys) I will apparently buy tickets for the Galaxy on the reliable (!) Ticketek website, get six vouchers for tickets to Adelaide, which I then have to translate into tickets at a booth somewhere?  Really looking forward to that.

At least it won't be too long before we find out how "well" Ticketek are doing in relation to the season ticket holders.  Good luck.

we will see on monday how quick this game will sell out, there are 3,500 plus members so it may be sold out before it gets to the public, you never know.

If everyone of the 3500 members exercises their right to buy 8 tickets there will be 28,000 tickets sold.  I reckon that still leaves one or two tickets for the rest of us....

More information will be up later as we are still working with Ticketek to get the best outcome for everyone. Will post as soon as I have it all clarified.

I think he means the Backpackers is sold out for the night of the game, not the game itself...
