Aren't the ref's amateurs?

Caceres looked like a bloke who has been let go by two A-League clubs.

and didn't give them an obvious penalty or a free kick for an obvious Manny obstruction. How was he one sided - unless your one eye is playing up?

I'm not anti Greenacre at all. I think the jury is still out on him.

I do think that we could possibly look to explorer aigning a 'better' striker. Whom that is or where he comes from is the magic question because if he was out there, he probably would have been signed already.

Maybe just another striker.
Chen, he seems like a good deal,

Credit where credit due.
CCM were just better than the Nix.

I expected a draw or a loss tbh.

I'm pretty steamed at the moment, but I'm going to say it again, Greenacre is not good enough.

And so much other stuff that frustrated the hell out of me. Another week of having to skip over steve-o and irnbru posts....

Maybe just that Greenacre's not a fly solo sort of guy, don't keep your head in the sand

I don't expect flash solo stuff, Auskiwi (although FFS strikers are supposed to do something a bit flash every now and then) but when I see him failing to achieve basic ball control in the box under the normal sorts of pressure that strikers have to deal with I begin to wonder if he's up to it.

And no, my head's not in the sand, but it's definitely spinning after that little lot.

I can agree with that. In alot of respects, I'm not disappointed because I did not expect a result against CCM

Grumpy old bastard alert

I missed most of the game but what I saw we were lucky. Durante was amazing and Manny also excellent

it's nice to find someone not so one eyed.

People can't blame one player in particular.
CCM have been moving along well this season.

(And I'm not just saying this because I'm an ex CCM fan)

We should have won that, they were not better than us. They marked better but we should have won and should have dominated the midfield better and made the most of our opportunities, looks like the crowds are getting sick of the same aimless football.....

Botafogo - Rio de Janeiro and Wellington Phoenix, my two teams til death do us part.

Yeah, I would expect a something a little flash from him too, but if he's flying solo, its always going to be uphill for him.

Good defensive work but somewhat undone by a lot of wasteful whacks upfield and consequent loss of possession.

Muscat I agree, excellent. That run he made to get inside McGlinchey near the corner flag had me on my feet. Brown too - he's going from strength to strength after his early season woes.

Gold coast next week and then at home on the 25th.
There need to be some major changes before then.
The next few weeks don't look good for us.

GCU are ripe for the picking with the form they're in atm. At home we can most certainly beat them.

Three for me, and two for them.

Why get worried about GCU? Haven't we just drawn with the mob that knocked them over 3-0?

Another small positive (I'll resume the whingeing shortly): 10 home games undefeated.

Gold Coast could be better than having mabye Newcastle or Adelaide because they are either going to destroy us or we will be right in the game rather than at Newcastle or Adelaide because they are more balanced and therefore the game is flatter because they have a defance and a attack, where GC only have a attack.

Have you watched GCU play. Did you see them with 10 against victory?

I think draw was a fair result. They dominated the first 20 but didn't create many clear chances - well, disallowed goal, but offside was the correct call. I was getting quite worried with how well their midfield was dominating us. The rest of the first half we looked the better side as limpy Ifill managed to get involved more. Smashing shot saved unfortunately, I think he had one blocked, then one shocker that I don't know if it was a shot or a cross (I don't think he knew). Second half they were maybe slightly better. Had better chances than us at least. Followed a similar pattern of them dominating, then us coming back into it. Don't forget they've only let in 4 goals this season - and they did look strong defensively, both with their backs and their midfielders. They look like they'll be a top 4 side. Close match. Still disappointed we couldn't steal it.

Wonder what the 9=11pm angst slot will be like 2nite?  its same old except for the defence which has improved so far in the season.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

I'll take a draw there just a pity we haven't capitalised on earlier games. Next week is not as hard as it sounds, Skilled park is not an intimidating venue neither is preparing on the bloody gold coast so claiming away being our problem is not on.

Disappointed though, we're starting to fall away from the top 6.

Lol. Settle arsenal.

I don't think we should be so confident going into next week.
And we were lucky for a draw.

I have watched every central coast game so far. And it was obvious that we were lucky. Reading stats can't compare to watching.Stefan2009-09-27 18:48:06

Our defence went to pieces in the second half. Giving away rediculous balls in their own third. Lucky they didn't punish us.

Gold Coast aren't looking the league dominating team they seemed to be after their first few games. Will be interesting. They are very strong attacking, but we'll get more chances than we did today.

we can all forgive Ifill for a few shockers - he's strained him hammy.

he did well to even get on the pitch.

I thought 0-0 was a fair result. CCM played better over the whole of the match, but we had patches were we were attacking well and could've snatched it. Just unlucky, the bounce of the ball just hasn't gone our way and if you're an optimist, you'd say it's going to turn at some point in the next few weeks.

Paston MoM for me, Durante was superb at the back, Muscat and Lochead were excellent on the flanks. Nothing much else to rave about.

Paston was good. One of the best games I've seen him have. Was worried about him pre-season, but he's doing alright. Came out really well.

Really disappointed with Caceres. Did a nice cut in from out wide in first half, but that was about it. Gave away the ball terribly in midfield a few times. Central Coast must have all been laughing at him big time.
