A bizzare question I know but is your name Philip Brown?? I also rang up the store to get 3 tickets today and gave them my name. They said they just had someone from Wanganui had just called them with the exact same name and spelling with the exact same request!!

Actually, that's not true. What the ad in the paper says is "Visit the Phoenix website for special ticket pricing". So then you go to the website and you click on the "Phoenix vs Jets. Click here to buy tickets" link which takes you straight to Ticketek which says nothing about $5 tickets. Even if you click on the "Enter Official Website" link you still need to read the story "Phoenix Owner Raises Money For Flood Relief" to find the $5 ticket info.
Great idea, but piss poor marketing. I have bought ten tickets so far and am just dishing them out to people who had absolutely no idea about it.

and just cos they are a member on this forum does not mean they actually attend home games or have a season pass......I think is more likely that we have 3500ish season pass holders, of which a percentage will/have purchased the $5 tickets.....

I agree. I went in and bought my 5, but im giving them away to work mates who have yet to have attended a phoenix game. Should be a good way to get these guys hooked especially if the Nix down trail the Jets like last time!
And seeing as sales are a little slow i may head in this arvo and pick up some more and hand them out to a few others
