Ok, we need to bounce back quick fast, and a win is key.

Not sure on Ifill's availability, but Im gonna guess itll be a bench role?

Based on form, I'd be keen to see:

                    Warner
Muscat SigmUnd Durante Griffiths
                      Lia
Ward      Smith    Sanchez   Daniel
                 Greenacre

I dont think Leo deserves his place, neither does Brown or Griffiths. If Ifill was fully fit, I'd be very keen to see him up top with sanchez and smith supporting.

Wonder how smith would go out wide?

          Warner
Lia Siggy Dura Manny

           Smith

Leo  Ward Sanchez  Daniel

             Greenie

Pasty
Brown
Griffiths
Ifill

Assumes that Ward will be OK after head knock, and SigmUnd will escape the elbow to the head. Lia looked ok at full back and while Griffiths was OK I think he was done for pace /  positioning a few times. I think Smiths best role for us has been playing slightly deeper in midfield.

I just think Leo needs some bench time to snap him back into action. Daniel and Ward have both been better in my eyes.

I'm not sure about Lia at RB yet. Griffiths against Victory I guess was destined to have the same result as when Musa played them. What has happened to tsatallios, and is lia a better option than Downey?(Once he is back in action)

get rid of Lia and Brown, both need to be ebnched for some sh*t performances...

Warner (none of the 3 goals were really his fault)

Muscat   Siggy   Dura   Griffiths (hasn't been terrible out of position)

         Leo  Ward     Sanchez    Daniel

                 Greenie
                           Smith

Leo frustrates me because we all know that all he needs to do to get back in to form is to run at defenders and take them on, yet he insists on jogging at them half-arsed and cutting inside.

pasty
lia Dura Siggy Manny
Daniel Smith Brown Leo
Greenie Sanchez

would be my starting line up

Ricki really needs to watch the last 15 minutes of the Victory game on a loop, because then he might notice how much better we were with Smith, Sanchez, and Daniel together.

Waiting on the fitness of Ifill, otherwise Jets game is not looking promising with Brown and Lia likely to start.

Smith looked so comfortable in centre midfield, unlike Lia and Brown, maybe partly because Victory had stepped off the gas.

I know most people on here don't like Brown but I couldn't help noticing how well we played once Lia went to RB.

I would love to see this:

      Daniel              Smith           Brown        Ward
                                   Sanchez
                                            Greenie

I think Siggy might be in trouble when they review the match for that elbow, so we might see Lia at right back for a couple games.

or even with smith swapping with sanchez...smith looked quite comfortable with the ball and took a decent goal

Id actually like to see Lia at RB- not just to see if he can do well there, but also to mix that midfield up a bit.

geesh, how many match threads do we need for this game?

Is Warner considered our number 1 now?  I thought he was slow on the first goal yesterday, although it is difficult when the ball bounces right in front of keepers.  I have only been seeing highlights of other games but he doesn't seem to have stood out a great deal.

Santa Hats !!

SO folks as usual we'll be doing some Santa related celebrations for the Yellow Brigades.

This year you will have a choice.

Mrs I-I-Iffy has been chained to the sewing machine and is producing some Yellow and Black Santa hats.  These will be a fiver with funds to cover costs coming out and any extra going to Ahmad's Lifelight trust fundraising campaign.

As well as these we will have a stack of el-cheapo Red and Whites which will cost you a gold coin.  Any profit on these will also go to Ahmad's fundraiser.

We'll have some available on the 12 pubs, and the rest from the Bencher pre-game.  Any left we'll try and bring in, but no gurantees we'll be allowed to sell them if the recent intransigence from the stadium security is any indication.

Cheers
The Fever.

I know this is unlikely to happen but how about trying this formation at home (given everyone is fit to play)!??

                 Warner

Lia       Siggy       Dura     Griffith

                  Manny
Ward                               Daniel
           Smith     Sanchez

                     Ifill

We need a reshuffle in our midfield, get rid of Brown and Lia (to full back), put Manny at DCM, all 5 of our midfield players now have good skills on the ball, thus be able to control the midfield area which we were really lacking in previous games, Ifill can create / finish upfront.  Attack will be our best defence at home so i think Lia and Griffith will do alright as full backs.

The Jest though are exactly the side that Leo will do well against, especially at ROF. He should start.

Rather than signing a whole new player, I think we should just play GriffithS at left back.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

If any doubt would prefer to see him rested until the 4th.

From this it looks like Ward, Ifill and Sanchez are all good to go.

despite what people are saying Rickie WILL select Brown and Lia in midfield...100% certain
So that leaves the front 4 to sort out....who starts out of Ifill, Greenie, Ward, Leo, Smith, Sanchez and Daniel?  For me Greenie needs a rest and Smith should replace him. Ifill for sure. Rickie always wants two wingers so leo and Ward again. That leaves no room for Sanchez and unlucky for Daniel.

Rickies pick     Leo               Ward
                            Ifill Greenie

My pick          Sanchez          Ward/Daniel
                           Ifill    Smith

I think it might be two train wrecks in a row...

...and no, that's not me crossing over to the dark side of the force and becomming a miserable, negative twat. Last weekend in Melbourne the team train wrecked. This weekend I forsee multiple train wrecks in the feverzone and/or before or after the game on the 12 pubs of Locky...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Didn't have to make many tackles and then it was down to 10 men. But yeh, he was happier there than striker that's for sure.

He doesn't do massive f-up glaring errors, but yeh- doesn't seem to pull out the spectular, his reflexes seem a bit slow, positioning suspect at times, is slow coming out to shut down a through ball sometimes and uncertain over when to and I can't even remember when the last time Pasty played for the 'Nix was.

yeh. I am a little suprised that the calls for Paston to come back have been somewhat muted.
