Melbourne play the Mariners on Friday - hope lies in; Melbourne being slightly jaded, one or two of their key players being suspended, another one or two being injured and another couple missing the flight.

For us hope lies in Lochhead starting freeing up Manny do a job on Hernandez and prayer.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

I really wish we had a different strike option, but this is what we have, so we gotta make do. I would also start looking seriously at Toto as a "new" January signing.
If he can actually perform in the reserves, then lets hope he can fire us up.

Also, sign Lovemore..

Kemp and Hernandez is out, which is good. I hate Kemp, he and Muscat are both such dirty bastards.

Also, Kids are FREE! So we MUST MUST MUST try and fill up the stadium as best we can.

This is not gonna be easy and a big crowd for the boys is he least our city can do to help our push towards the finals

No Kruse of Thompson thats good for us, Ricardinho hasnt yet hit his stride and lets hope alllsopp isnt up to it yet.

That just means Durante can come in and either Troy or Muscat will be RB if Lochhead is good to come into the lineup

Yup North named as one of 4 A-League players in squad. They have a game on 5th Jan also so he won't be playing for us. Kruse also named so won't be playing against us....

Yup Culina and Mckay the other two A-League players in squad.

So with North gone Dura will go straight back in CB. I assume either Lia or Hearfield will be dropped with Muscat going to RB or CM depending on who.

Or the other option could be to drop both and play Musa, with siggy going to RB and Muscat CM.

I liked PWF's lineup too. With north in the oz squad i'd go with this;

I like that team.....

Greenie needs to up his performance. He's lost the killer touch up front.....shanking shots and missing sitters. He should be thriving alongside Dmac but he was ordinary in Townsville. he's probably there because there is no logical replacement. Lia to the bench is good as well...really like Rojas and Ward out wide. Leo is obviously not 100% fit....he needs a break.

Without Kruse and Thompson Victory will not be as good. Its still a tough game but we can and should win it.

Wish we had a better striking option or atleast something different? Wonder how Pav would go on the bench?

I would like to see the above formation with Lia, Daniel, and Pav/Toto on the bench.

I just would rather Leo actually take some time out to heal rather than more average performances. But cant see it happening unfortunately

Don't want to use Bertos yet. He aint recovered enough for my liking.
