The 2011/12 Hyundai a-League is now well over two thirds through and the charge to the finals is on! The Wellington Phoenix need your support at the next home game against the high flying Brisbane Roar more than ever before.

To darken the spirits of the high flyers we want you to come all dressed in manga-style cosplay. Lets make Westpac Stadium even more daunting than it usually is.

Phoenix fans are renowned throughout the A-League as some of the loudest, most creative and passionate in the A-League. Show us how creative you can be with pokemon, beyblades and pornographic manga and be into win in some fantastic Sony prizes including tablets, e-readers and signed mini Phoenix balls.

Were also planning a unique, once-only-ever event at the game. If you are a hard core fan, or just want to be there for something that will never happen again, then you will want to be a part of this. Exactly what it is remains a secret and will only be revealed on game day so you will not want to miss this one.

You lost me at "Cosplay" but it all sounds very exciting. I'm sure my sources can fill me in on the details, what to wear etc. I SO love dressing up. Can I wave my Lithuanian flag too?
By the way, will there be any football on the day?

Objectively, is that achievable? I think if we are still second it could be.

No you may not.

FFA rules specifically state no National Flags other than those of NZ or Aus.

(of course they turn a blind eye to the Israeli one, they've been getting away with it for years)

Actually, I've seen Bahraini flags since Adnan showed up.

But no, no flags other than Aus or Nz.

Strange promotion... Now pokemon is officially in the forum can we get around to deciding which phoenix player is which pokemon! you know based upon appearance and perceived personality traits.
For instance, Manny Muscat is totally a Cubone/Marowak.
I'd call siggy a Golem or Graveller and Paston is like hitmonlee or something

I think it is. Just had a leaving morning tea function for someone at work. I have my Nix scarf on. One of my co-workers commented on Sunday's game and said "It sounded like the Phoenix had a good win?"

I said: "Yep, they sure did... and they are second on the table. It was a big crowd too. Great atmosphere."

And she replied: "Yeah, I heard that. I have never been to a Phoenix game but it is something I keep saying to my husband we should get around to doing."

"Then come to the next game on February 12th. It's going to be even bigger."

She said that sounded like a good idea...

People who have NEVER been to a Phoenix game are talking about it. It is capturing people's attention and imagination. Keep talking to people about the Phoenix... spread the word.

And keep wearing Nix merchandise around Wellington. It keeps the Phoenix brand in the public eye, even when there is not another home game for another week.

Whenever I make the trk from home (in Wakefield Street) to the BB wearing my Nix get-up, I am astounded by the number of kids who are nipping at the heels of there parents wanting to know if there's a Nix game on today.  Hopefully this converts to them being able to go, but I don't feel any enthusiasm from the parents.  I once almost offered to take a woman's kids coz they were amped and she said no, but thought it's be a BIT creepy.

End of an era.  Vinnie - It's over.

This is a brilliant promotion - half priced adult tickets are Gold $14.50 and Silver $12.50.

The one-off phone booking fee is $8.75.
