Oh come on El G, if we can see Durante's body at this angle then the linesman would have clearly seen Berisha in front of him (the linesman is looking right down that line in the grass).

You asked for proof, you got it.

But it's not clear - the only part of Berisha's body that's clearly in front of Durante is his arm, and that doesn't count. The others (head and torso) are much closer to Durante, and you need to be able to see where Durante's feet/hips/shoulders are to be able to firmly say offside or not, and you can't do that from this shot.

Now you're just taking the piss.

Looking at that picture it is physically impossible that Berisha's body is anywhere but clearly ahead of Durante from the view the linesman would have had. That's not even opinion, it's a fact (supported by the evidence provided to my brain by my eyes).

Whether the linesman should reasonably be expected to have made that call is another question.

But he was offside.

It can't be a fact unless you have a shot that is perfectly in line with the Durante. The angle for this shot changes the perspective, while also hiding the exact position of Durante's feet and hips. And until you know that, you can't speak of facts.

But meh.

Yeah, and Cannibal Corpse are one of the world's most popular reggae bands.

That picture + rudimentary knowledge of geometry = Fact.

But as you say, meh.

Perhaps it's time to move on fellas, you'll just have to agree to disagree.  It's done and dusted.

Do you believe man has ever been on the moon elgrap? (if the angle was in line it would be more obvious - not that I am blaming the officials on this). But meh

The dude on the left is definitely standing in an offside position. It's a fact.

The Club and the owners would like to pass on their sincere thanks to Yellow Fever for the 'RIP Lloyd' tribute made at the game on Sunday.

It was noted that this was turned around very quickly. Thanks go to the entire Yellow Fever in general and the two members specifically who spent a lot of their own time pulling it all together.

The image of the banner going up over the Yellow Fever has been passed around the owners group for those that could not be at the game.

The owners did want it noted their sincere appreciation for the effort put in. They were very touched by the effort made by Yellow Fever on the day to mark Lloyd's passing

Thanks again.

Because some idiot would have probably thrown a bottle.
It is also security who take the decision to direct them out that way. While it means we don't have the option to "wish him luck for his next match and thank him for his sterling efforts" I much prefer that to happen than have to deal with the aftermath of the ref getting hit with a plastic bottle thrown by some knob. That is the sort of sh*t FIFA / FFA do not take kindly too.

Yeah, well done.

I was only disappointed that it didn't stay up for the minute's silence (I don't think it appeared on telly for this reason) but I suspect that wasn't the fault of the people who actually organised it.

.....but you can, of course, be standing in an offside position without being offside!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Even Piney was questioning the point of giving brown a yellow so late into injury time.

I was sitting down around 29/30, rather than the fever end. Brown had being doing his best to win a card for most of the 2nd half, for some reason, he was well f**ked off.

Lucky also that Lochhead wasn't sent off for his both arms hugging the opposition moment either.

Guys Berishas goal might have been offside (marginally) and I don't know about you guys but when its that close and you can hardly tell on a freeze frame, don't you guys think the officials should err in favor of the attacking team?
If the Nix scored a goal like that, as marginally offside as that, and it was called back for offside we'd all be spewing.

I would like to thank all of you Phoenix supporters for welcoming us into your great city, your Backbencher pub and giving us such great weather.

This is my 3rd visit over the ditch and have felt really welcome and at ease being there.
Very sorry that we took the 3 points from you.

Thank you all again.
