I hope he does as his form over the last 4 weeks has been poor.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

I can understand hassling him about the miss, but why would we boo him?

I wonder if we could convince the stadium to show the replay of a certain penalty while the teams walk out onto the field.

can see absolutely no reason why adnan would be booed, he should be cheered instead

I'm not sure booing is the right word but you try to rark him up so he does something stupid on the field. Early mistimed sliding tackle getting a straight red would be perfect.

I think ironically cheering his every touch would be much, much funnier.

He's a national hero in NZ after all.

The penalty spot should have been dug up post 14 Nov ago ready to present to him on a plate when he came back! As a way of us saying thanks!

Ditto on this.....my young nephew, when he saw that picture asked if he can have a T shirt with the Nix Cat on it. Huge marketing opportunity IMO.

So do we now have a Mascot??????

Ummm, just saying, but if we are going to have a mascot couldn't it look a little bit more like a... phoenix?

Maybe we could dress the cat as a phoenix?

But then would the cat get confused and try and chase itself?

Prematch highlights just play the wrong tape by mistake.

When the announce the Roar squad, instead of booing Adnan we should cheer as loudly as we would a Phoenix player.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Forget about when he makes a mistake, that would be funny at any point in the game!

I agree with this sentiment. Booing him really doesn't make sense, I'll be thanking him for his contribution to NZ football!
To be honest I think that a chorus of "we love u Adnan! we do" affect him more than boos.
Booing (I mean real booing) is only really reserved for the Juduses and Chris Payne, Kevin Muscat and Burns (you know people like that). No one really wants to hear it at the football.
In fact some older folk who we've introduced have been quite put off by this sort of behaviour.

Score a goal on a windy day?
You know we belong together...

Would be brilliant to give Adnan this reception!

I don't get that bit about booing. It's done because a player or the ref has done something extremely c*nty (sorry - too much lurking on tfc forum) and we're rightly p!ssed off about it.

This is football you know. It's not a jovial kick around with some chums, it's not even tiddly winks.

I'm all for booing at the games (where justified).

If he scores and runs towards the Fever Zone to celebrate, the we boo him. If he scores and does not celebrate, we do nothing. If he does not score, we cheer him. Simple.

I think applause is actually a great idea, just not overdone.

If it was overdone then you would be inviting disaster.
