[QUOTE=Hard News] When the announce the Roar squad, instead of booing Adnan we should cheer as loudly as we would a Phoenix player.

This and this please.

I agree with this sentiment. Booing him really doesn't make sense, I'll be thanking him for his contribution to NZ football!
To be honest I think that a chorus of "we love u Adnan! we do" affect him more than boos.
Booing (I mean real booing) is only really reserved for the Juduses and Chris Payne, Kevin Muscat and Burns (you know people like that). No one really wants to hear it at the football.
In fact some older folk who we've introduced have been quite put off by this sort of behaviour.

Would be brilliant to give Adnan this reception!

I don't get that bit about booing. It's done because a player or the ref has done something extremely c*nty (sorry - too much lurking on tfc forum) and we're rightly p!ssed off about it.

This is football you know. It's not a jovial kick around with some chums, it's not even tiddly winks.

I'm all for booing at the games (where justified).

I love boooing at football games, and it can be done for all sorts of strange reasons (although not for being racially abused, or being the brother of someone who was racially abused).  I like it when fans boo players who used to play for other clubs that the fans don't like.  We should boo everyone who has ever played for whoever our biggest rivals are (I think there was a thread about making Perth our rivals, but I cannot really remember).

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

This and and a double slice of booing for any team Musc*nt plays or coaches for.

Yeah I remember that, Perth and us are both furthest away from the other teams. We are rivals because we are both geographically challanged.

Also all of sudden Danny Hay thinks we are good enough.
And Kevin Fallon doesn't care how we play as long we win:
"I wouldn't care about style as long as you're winning and I mean that."
What a dramatic change of tune, Nothing much has changed dramatically in our style of play.
Pricks.

I disagree, the way we approach away games has changed significantly and, as a consequence of that, so have our results on the road.

The other material influence on our recent good form has been Ifill's return to something approaching full fitness. That, in itself, has a huge impact on the way we play and, of course, the oppositions' tactics.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

And WHAT a day too! The weather is smiling on the Nix.

And WHAT a huge game. With the Mariners losing, the Heart Losing and the Glory losing... If we can beat the Roar it's a MASSIVE result for us!

COME ON YOU NIX!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.
