because they've held twelve shots on target? no they've had 2 shotss on target we've defended bloody well. hearfield has done little up front, we've kicked away possession.

It could be 2-0 to us. It could be twelve nil to Melbourne. I don't remember you being such a gloomy chap. what gives today?

but yeh midfield in front of the box need to do some work. McKain looks like he has some Christmas to work off still

we are playing Roar not Melbourne :s

yeah but carrying on like a prat gives no substance to anything else you say....

If any 1 eyed Nix fan looked at this game, we are lucky we are even at the half because we don't have a midfield thats doing anything of substance with nothing on the bench to offer help in the holding role, a striker thats playing 1 v a back 3 (and they play back 3 because we only play 1 up front) who gets double marked when he does get the ball out near the touchline.

I'm a Nix fan, but we are playing poor. I would like to see them drop Brown a bit deeper and ask more from the middle 3 because we are not securing possession and anything secured is kicked away. We are giving too much respect in that midfield and thats were we are getting killed.

Hardly conducive to getting a result in a football match however fighting more in the middle will turn that around.

No problem either with the goal Agent47 - I think Durante moved in to the Mitchell, although the Qlder looked for it. Moss had a hand on the ball, but one who has scored in similar fashion, I've never considered that "control".

But seriously, was there no toy in your weetbix packet this morning?

We have to score goals, we can't play our CCM game plan. Daniel. or Bertos up front. Or maybe a strengthened midfield?

hmm...yeh. well I would have taken that goal as a striker. But I thought Moss did have hands on it. Unbelievable work from the free kick. I always remember my coach saying a very good keeper will get the ball off the bar on the ground, so close Mossy...

I would ask yourself this question of the Durante foul. What was the strikers next move? A shot on goal. Does the defender know this? Yup. When he is receiving his card he is smiling because he knows is coming. Hes not in a rage or screaming profanities. He knew it was coming because he knew he committed a foul to stop a shot on goal. Great foul to stop that, great in taking one for the team but ultimately worthless in going 1 all.

The 4-2 I was thinking McKains cross from set play early that took a deflection and went wide.

Ferrante in the middle- Bertos right wing forward, Daniel/Kwasnik on the left mid?

oh well my two cents,

we're sitting to deep and letting them have to much ball, we need to press them a bit more in the 2nd half start putting them under some pressure because we really haven't created any the whole first half.
What is up with gifting the ball back to them via aimless longballs we have a midfield !!

Agree we can't play the CCM game plan however we have no possession in which to attempt an attack and now its even, we need that to get something going and go forward momentum.

Ferrantes role is as a distributing mid fielder but hes getting no ball to do that with so makes him surplus. He needs to get up McKain and Browns ass asking for ball.

The reason why I'd drop Brown deeper is because of the open hole thats consistently there in the 10y in front of the box which they are shooting consistently from. We need to plug that hole which is why I'd drop Brown deeper to stop that shooting target area and give us a chance of contesting possession in that area

Oops - Thought you were making a prediction there. My stream crapped out for a couple of minutes and I missed two goals.

subs. change of tactics. Ricky needs to come up with something. Defence is going to be absolutely ragged at the end, if it isn't now.

Dura with similar defensive option as the Nicholls one, but this time goes in his favour. risky.
