There better not be any blame put on the fact the board want to play a more attractive style of football. Our style of play hasn't changed much at all. I would be surprised if there has been any significant increase in the number of passes the phoenix are putting together

Thank god that's over...Did notice one bit about ten or fifteen minutes from the end when the camera flashed onto the Nix bench and Greenie looked as though he had his hand over his face so he couldn't see the debacle

The ramifications of this result have appeared on Stuff.co.nz already......

LATEST: Cantabrians have been shaken by a 4.7 magnitude quake this evening.

The tremor struck at 9.15pm, and was centred 15km west of Christchurch, at a depth of 10km.

The shake was the strongest aftershock experienced in the region since a 4.8 quake on July 6, 2012.

The quake caused a flurry of online traffic that overloaded Geonet's website, and many took to social media to comment.

A Twitter user said: "Well that one got me out of my chair. I think I'm out of practice."

We performed as the underdogs for a long time eventually it was going to catch up with us, it appears it well and truely has now. Things need to change, yes. Ricki needs to go, possibly. Lochhead and Lia out, DEFINITLY. but If we don't stick with them during the tough times, then we have no right to enjoy the goods when inevitably they come.

I'm a bit bemused at all the sudden Herbert hating. In case anyone forgot the context:

1/ A co-owner started meddling with the team's strategy via the media

2/ Ricki played ball and try to play the new strategy

3/ This failed

4/ A bunch of senior players decided to go back to the older style

So the question has to be, was there even a common objective or strategy heading into this match?

I am not excusing the performances and lack of effort put in tonight, but don't forget the context to this.

Gareth- go ahead and , then watch him lead the AWs to the quarter finals of the World Cup while your precious business investment turns to shit. The Phoenix was always built on a team culture, everyone used to say without a doubt that it was the strongest culture in the league. Tonight is what happens when you undermine that culture with your dickishness.

I imagine there are plenty of people who are pleased there is no search function on here so no one can seek out a few posts from the start of season about how terrible ADP will be when he tries to play on his Zimmer frame

I said to my wife before the game that we would either win 1-0 or it would be a bath. I really would never have picked that score  line.

Have seen some really strange comments but the fact is we don't have the class of players like Emerton, Culina and Del Piero .

We had our defense of Aw's who got show up today by guys that are 38 years old. Locky only made one mistake today and that was ball watching as Culina smashed home a cross. Sigmund  was turned inside out as  was Bertos.

Our AW saviour,  Dura was made to look very ordinary as DP crashed one into the roof of the net.

Paul I was a welcome return and showed that we do have some class, but was spoilt by Lia who once again proved to me that he is not good enough for the Nix.

I'm sure that there will be people calling for Paston to be dropped but really which goals was he to blame.

We have in my opinion two of the weakest sides in the next two games so we can get the six points .

What do you do for next game, Manny will be back for lia, does Ifill start, fenton back in? Just don't see how we can comeback from this without making changes to the matchday squad but are the other players any better and would they offer more to the team?

What can change in a week?

Can RH put loyalty aside and drop players or are the replacements worse?

Alot of questions I know but am struggling to find answers.

Didn't Terry S meet the players some years ago, without Herbert being present, when it seemed RH had lost the dressing room.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

My point is that I am bemused that anyone can be bemused about the "sudden Herbert hating" after 4 defeats in a row, 1 win in 8 games, and a 7-1 defeat from a team 9th in the league.  And also to blame the owners for all of it.

Muscat to sit in front of the back 4. Give Hogg a go instead of Blockhead.

Boyd out.

Brockie and Ifill up front, Sanchez and Fenton in midfied.

God knows whos the 11th. May need to pray that Smith can do better with no Lia there.
