Grandadi, you inspired me to put $5 on 2-1 so cheers for that! Although, winning $37.50 (not even that much really) made me get monumentally drunk so I blame you for that too.

We started quite well, and then the first half just went totally flat. Second half was ok, cracking goal obviously and overall Ward had much more of an impact than Lia ever does, not even including the goal.

Hearfield. Dire. That's all about him.

As for the Greenacre debate, he won a surprising amount of headers last night and was pretty good.

That's true. Also, what was with the KORB banner at the game tonight. Did HN put that up?

KORB = Knights of the Round Ball, a breakway forum from 2005 that left SBS World Game at that time. HN is part of it.

Feeling left out?

Hello,

I am just pleased that our boys' won their game last evening. I won't single out any one particular player who played well or one who had a quiet evening upon the pitch. It takes 11 players to win a game and though our season presently is a mixed bag of ups and downs I have complete and utter faith in our foundation players and I am going to watch with an attentive eye the new signings and the manner in which Ricki chooses to utilise their skills.

In the Dompost dated Friday September the 10th, their reporter Sam Worthington gave his take on the Phoenix after 5 rounds of competition.

Jekyll AND Hyde"
"The Phoenix are still a schizophrenic football team....away".
I for one take umbrage at this rather arrogant and insensitive statement, unless Sam the Man plays football himself or has in the past and is a 'Special One' with top knotch footballing abilities akin to Leo Messi-ah...and if not he should just shut his mouth-I shall make a point of it in my Twitter page to Dompost in a tweet tweet

I was expecting us to play better than we did (seeing as sydney is at the bottom of the table) but Sydney didn't play too badly and we played really well!
I was ball girl down at the goal, opposite the yellow fever and there was so much pushing and shoving that the ref didn't see!
But I got front row seats for the penalty and Ward's goal.
(:
awesome.

The guy in front of me commented that the ballboy at that end was watching the field instead of throwing the ball back.

At least, you enjoyed the game.
