A few of the ChCh posters have commented about the lack of advertising for the game, so I'm not surprised. I don't have a Facebook account, so don't know if they have been pushing details of the games but on their Twitter account there hasn't even been a mention of it since the 4th. Even on the boards here, there doesn't seem to be much buzz about the game, especially when you compare it to the Dunedin game last season.

Has been quite a bit of advertising in the press and a few posters around town about the game, no need to worry, seriously how many are they expecting for a pre-season game - previous pre-season games here against Mainland 11 at qe2 would have got 5000. A crowd of 7500 will be good. I think  though the club has not been the best in promoting the game on it's website or FB.

Typical of the Press to have a negative article like this leading up to the game, they dont mention the pre-game ticktet sales for a ITM cup game so why do it here.

Sorry if this has been covered, but I'm guessing this game won't be televised?

Speights Ale House.  About 12 noon.  Will be there with bells & whistles - well, with flags and YF banner, anyway!!

Looks like good weather forecasted too.

and had to stick the boot in more with saying the netball had practically sold out.   But I do admit was hoping there would be more interest since it's a brand new team to the league. Chch get to see before Most fans in Wellington.  And again not surprised by the lack of promotion on facebook and twitter by the club.  What the hell are Clemengers doing?

Ok ok... Fly from Melbourne to Christchurch to watch the game.. must say totally worth it. Should I pre order my tickets now or buy on game day??

I'd advise anyone thinking of just turning up on the day and buying tickets to book now and avoid the inevitable queues...
Christchurch people always turn out in droves at the last minute - to the extent that kick-off often has to be postponed to get all the last-minute punters in.
Large walk-up crowds happened to some extent at the last two Nix games in Chch but the worst was the last two All Whites games where 10,000 turned up, most without booking and kick-off had to be delayed...
Chch has the sort of support for big football games that 10,000  turned up to a low-key friendly against Malaysia at QE II in 2006.
Sales for this one now more than 5000 I believe - so all the moaning about poor sales turned out to be wrong!
Go the Nix !!! Can't wait for tomorrow !!!

Looks like a 4-4-2 again. Hope Fenton has a big game, would be nice to see him perform against another A-League side.
