QANTAS made the effort so I'm going to make the effort to promote their work now (even though I'm severely sleep deprived....).

The staff made a bunch of signs that they printed out in colour (I think I overhead someone jokingly say they were getting sick of yellow and black LOL) and here go all the signs that they made:

Just a last couple. And once again well done to QANTAS for making the effort. I was told that the immigration/customs staff were all going to be decked out in Yellow for the boys too.

The manager was a top bloke. Very proud of the team and even prepared to share some of his valuable time with a random fan that turned up at the airport to see the team.

I wish him well and hope he makes a lot of money on flights to Melbourne next week

Lets make sure there is a big turnout at the airport to welcome our guys back on Sunday night.

Whatever happens tonight - win or lose - the team deserves a big welcome home for the amazing run we've all had. The last few weeks especially have been unbelievable for results, profile and support.

Is Flight confirmed as QF117 at 11.15 pm Sunday night?

If so lets keep passing the word.

Just generally, people I know who don't usually 'get into' things a hell of a lot are surprising me around their interest in Phoenix stuff. One lady I know was seriously thinking about getting tx to Melbourne if we make it - she is someone I never would have thought would go for that. The Fever is spreading....

I want to go and see the lads get in tmorrow but i have to hit the road early on Monday.

I'm heading out from Mt Vic to airport at around 11.00 - assume they won't be through customs til around 11.30 at earliest. If anyone needs lift i can get a couple in the car. Reply here in the next hour - or if later than 8.00 then text me at 021 548 477 with a name and a pick-up place and maybe I can sort out a ride with you if needed.

Just got back.  About a dozen of us there.  Team looked pretty distraught in all honesty.

Siggy clearly had been on the rum and coke on the flight over.

Lols of the night went to the camerman who turned up after the players had left.  Not sure what station it was. 

TV 1, surely.  Did you manage a yarn with any of them?

Just Russel the kitman.  Most of them had family waiting so didn't think it was appropriate.  Just about all signed a little kid's stripey though.
