I was not going to watch any more of that sh*t.

I have never been so embarrassed to be a phoenix supporter. 90 minutes of shame. Well, take a minute off that for our goal.

shocking.

it was an open statment, not directed at any season in particular, but seeing you want an answer, the simple fact the phoenix are here and still playijng, sure we may be struggling right now, but at least we still have a team to support....minus you of course cos you've show your true colours. I'd be happy if you neve came back.

pathetic performance deserves people walking out before the final whistle.

imagine if an EPL team played like that. The game would be played in an empty stadium by half time.

You should emigrate so you can be there!

I stayed right til Durante went off at 94 minutes, clapping them.
There's nothing that'll make them feel even more sh*t than half hearted fans going off before the whistle has even been blown.
Get a grip, stay the whole game.

Left when the 4th went in rather than hang around to see people inevitably clapping the team off after them playing absolute crap.

anti-this.

stay till the end man, even if your team's playing like crap. Seriously, what's the point of supporting a team if you don't support them through thick and thin?

OTOH, I still have hope for NZ cricket, so maybe you can ignore me.

We left after the fourth goal but heard people clapping and cheering them off. If they had lost showing some fight then I could understand that, but when you conceed four at home and look like you have given up I think it is a bit token.

I don't think missing 2 minutes at the end of a 4-1 defeat means that you now do not support the team.

Had they gone down fighting I may have stayed and gave them a clap. but that really was abysmal tonight.

I didn't leave until I'd clapped every Nix player off the field.

Stayed to the end,and in some  way i hope that players and management feel even worse knowing that some of their fans stayed to support them off the park.Even tho they played like complete sh*t.Easy to boo your team off the park but think it would hurt more the way that many of us do it.

Despite what some of you think it dosnt mean we accept the way they played . No worse than some of you clapping Kosta spelt with a C off the park.

Yeah agree with Ballane. It was almost a shameful walk for them.

Hope they felt it,because that was a game where they put no effort in whatsoever.

The last goal summed the game up.

Shame on those gloryhunters who left early "you only sing when we're winning"

Allegedly

I don't think 'gloryhunters' would've attended the game based on the season so far...

I doubt people support the nix because of the glory, this result and angst has been a build up of a season (so far) of utter crap football

You said in your first post you only stayed till the 75th minute, so how'd you see 90 min of shame? I stayed till Dura had left the field, wasn't going to hang around for the Roar though.

I left at the 95th minute.  Even though the result was dreadful and the defense horrible, I still enjoyed the game and the nice weather.

Its not like they play like sh*t on purpose is it?
They want to win as much as us - more than us infact, and just having some LOYAL fans still there when they come off probably gives them a real boost.
If you cared about the team you would have stayed - not a real fan OBVIOUSLY.

totally, you support the team no matter how bad they play - as many have said foir the players walking passed their fans after a performance like that would be horrible, seeing the dissappointment in our faces would cut deep. Not being there just lets them off the hook but also gives them no hope for the enxt home game.

I left as soon after they scored the fourth goal. I was already shocked and depressed after they scored the third. I left like tonnes of other people did when the fourth went in.

I thought it was one of the more entertaining matches the Nix have played in, at least til the last quarter. I don't get why many people on here follow the team, it sounds like you'd rather be at the dentist than at the games, yet you are so proud of your 'been at every game' records. I don't get it.

I like tautologies because I like them.

Sounds like our resident troll doesn't quite get the concept of 'supporting' a football team. It's easy when everything's good, but it's when it goes tits up that the support is needed most.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

We stayed till the end, clapped them off but didn't cheer. I thought the chanting at the end was great as it showed that even though the players had given up the fans hadn't.

For those that left, I can see why they did, how else can you plainly show the players that you were disappointed by thier effort, just because you want to make a statement doesn't mean you don't support them.

supporting a team is like rasing a kid, you may not like what they do but you never ever turn your back on them and leave them to unsupported....kleaving early is like not bailing your kid out of jail.
