Westpac Stadium parking is now available!

In an effort to keep Wellington Phoenix Member recognition benefits fresh and exciting, we have included a new Member’s only benefit of $20 discounted stadium parking on game day! (That’s a $15 saving every home game!)

This benefit extends to you throughout the whole of Hyundai A- League 2019/2020 season.

You can secure your discounted parking by following the link here or below:

I thought we'd always had discounted parking by showing our season pass at the entrance. I've used it in previous years anyway. Is it "fresh and exciting" to require that parking to be prebooked?

Being able to book it ahead of time will fix problems of people arriving too late to get the cheap price. So that is a good change imo.

Does this mean if I continue to show up an hour early like I have since god knows when, I can still just show my ST and get a park? or do I have to book it? And can you still park anywhere there? Please.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

From how I read it, if you want the $20 car parking you will need to book it in advance from the Ticketek website.

Why don't you ask the club/stadium?

BIG Guess but if all the car parks are pre-booked then no you can not just rock up any more. Spark Stadium will know 2 hours before the car park opens if it is booked out. Anyone can book a park (Members have the discount option)

(From Ticket site)  "Purchase your parking for the Phoenix 2019/20 season in advance to avoid any queues on the day.

Online parking sales close two hours prior to the car park open time.

Car parking EZY tickets will need to be printed and be ready to show on your arrival to the carpark. Once parked, please display clearly on your dashboard."

The Phoenix Effect on OZ FTA Deal

But a quirk of the scheduling already announced by Football Federation Australia means the timeslot is heavily loaded with Wellington Phoenix matches.

In total, a third of the games would feature Phoenix, including six home games for the New Zealand-based side and three more away games.

Eight of those happen on consecutive weekends over December and January.

A final decision has yet to be made, but it could see 7.30pm games brought forward, while the New Zealand- based Phoenix games may move from 5.15 Sydney-time time to an earlier 3pm Sydney time slot.

Ticketek charges the credit card fee for processing the payment. 2.5% on $20 is like 50c. So $20.50 for booking a car park.

So will the Stadium Trust now be the Sky Stadium Trust or still the Westpac Stadium Trust. Good to see they are still determined to fleece fans. I assume the wont have those three people selling the tickets at the entrance anymore. Saved at least 4 hours in wages. they'll need a Boardroom banquet to celebrate.

Waiting for the ST's to arrive so I can "book" .

Did you get a digital copy of your season pass emailed the other week? That has the barcode at the bottom that you can use.

Wellington Regional Stadium Trust owns, operates and maintains the Westpac Stadium. This Trust is not a Council Controlled Organisation, but is a charitable trust jointly settled by Wellington City Council and Greater Wellington Regional Council.

The Trust:

  • operates and manages the Westpac Stadium
  • originally established by Greater Wellington and this Council to develop and build the Westpac Stadium
  • provides high quality facilities for use by rugby, cricket and other sports, musical, cultural and sponsored events
  • administers the stadium and Trust assets.

That isn't surprising, only played 58 mins over 4 games during his 2 seasons with the Nix.

Wellington Phoenix have welcomed amendments to their Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season draw announced today.

It was announced this morning that due to a new Free-To-Air deal for the Hyundai A-League on ABC in Australia, two Saturday Wellington Phoenix games have been brought forward to 4.45pm kick offs.

It was also announced that all Saturday twilight kick offs will be at 7pm, updated from 7.15pm.

Under the new FTA deal, ABC will broadcast one Saturday night Hyundai A-League match each round. Due to the over-representation of Wellington Phoenix on Saturday night fixtures, the decision was made to bring forward two Phoenix matches in order to ensure a more equitable FTA distribution around the clubs.

Rather than move games to different days or later time slots, the joint approach between the League, broadcasters and clubs was to remain on the same day but amend kick off times.

Wellington Phoenix General Manager David Dome said the club was really pleased with the outcomes.

‘’The time shifts to more fan-friendly times is indicative of a more collaborative approach between the League and broadcasters.

‘’Both Fox in Australia and Sky in New Zealand should be congratulated for having the best interests of football fans in Australia and New Zealand at heart when evaluating what was best for the fans in making these time adjustments.

“I think New Zealand fans will be thrilled with the earlier kick-off times.’’

Dome also said that as the long pre-season was coming to an end, it was obvious that this season was most of the most highly anticipated in the club’s history.

‘’There is exceptional interest around Wellington’s season to date: season ticket sales are up 10% on the same time last year and game day ticket sales are extremely strong especially around our first game and the Eden Park match on December 7.

‘’In fact, pre-sales for our opening game are the strongest we have ever had for an opening game in 10 years.

‘’For some reason, there seems to be a lot of interest in the return of Mark Rudan.’’

At A Glance
  • Round 11 – fixture moves from Sat 21 Dec 7.15pm kick off to 4.45pm kick off
  • Round 14 – fixture moves from Sat 11 Jan 7.15pm kick off o 4.45pm kick off
  • All Sat Twilight (FTA) fixtures will move forward by 15 mins from 7.15 pm to 7.00pm
