‘’There is exceptional interest around Wellington’s season to date: season ticket sales are up 10% on the same time last year and game day ticket sales are extremely strong especially around our first game and the Eden Park match on December 7.

Is this actually true? From what I've seen, they're down 27%

They gave a lot of tickets away to charities last season, so the total figure was inflated. So sales are probably up but numbers down.

FFA have shifted the Sydney Derby to the slot when we are due to play Sydney on the 28th February and booted us to a midweek game on the 18th March. Gonna be a few people whose travel plans have been effed up by this.

Absolutely gutted about this. Had flights booked from Melbourne. Disaster.

Won't please Talay or especially Hay.

3 Nix games in a week (15th-22nd March), spread between Wgtn-Newcastle & Sydney.

Then straight after 20 hours flying, and an AWs game in Oman 25th March. You would think all of the Nix's AW players will now have to be rested for the Omani game, and just play against Bahrain. Will rightly screw up Hay's pre game training sessions etc. Who would be an international coach.

Meanwhile now a 16 day break between next week's Western United game & Mariners on 8th March. So 2 byes in the month of February.

Nice work FFA!

Getting royally shafted here

Surely the missed game between two Sydney teams should have been moved to midweek slot instead? it is their game that got postponed, not ours.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Looks like the FFFA (no that's not an extra F) don't want us having that home final. You do wonder how hard the Phoenix put there case across as we have been well an truly shafted YET AGAIN by  a late change of fixture. They wonder why they cant get people to games at times.Seems to be no thought about players welfare 3 games at a time of year that can be bloody hot

We really need that team that was playing great football to reappear to stick it to the FFA.

pretty sure Domey and the welnix team would have been arguing very strongly against moving the game, we all know very well that no matter what the nix ask for we never get anything.

Sorry don't share your optimism, seems at times as if the last thing they consider is their fans. Would maybe agree with you if this was first, but sadly that's not the case.

you know as well as I do that the FFA are always going to look after Sydney FC at all costs. Nothing the nix wanted would have come into any consideration....

Forget the fans, why at all would Dome/Talay be happy to have their players go through 3 games in a week, for no good reason other than FFA being greedy?

Of course they would have tried to push back on this change.

Even more so now because Hay will almost be forced to pay the Nix AWs contingent solely in game 2, verus Bahrain (March 30th). They just won't have enough time to be rested/prepare for the Oman game. Will probably now arrive jet lagged, only max 2 days before that match, having already played 3 games in a week.

Post Bahrain, Nix's next game is at home vs Adelaide 5th April. Remember Talay asked Hay not to play likes of Cacace, McCowatt against Lithuania (game 2 for AWs in Nov), so they would be rested for the long trip back to Welly and the next Nix game. I'm sure Talay would much prefer his Nix AWs players didn't have to play in the Bahrain game, so had a longer rest before playing Adelaide.

There is nothing about this FFA change, that Nix HQ will like.

You guys think what you want and i will go with what I think we are  never going to agree. Just seems over the years we have rolled over way to easily when it comes to game changes. Sorry coochiee thats just part of  the problem that at times the Phoenix do "Forget the Fans".

I can't remember the exact wording but the A League charter put commercials above everything else, including fair play. It's literally in the rules of the competition that a big game will take priority over a little game. I doubt the phoenix got much say at all and we should be taking the b team to Sydney and parking the bus because of it.
