Watched the highlights again and expected us to win 2-0. We had the game too, just rushed some opportunities. And slacked off a bit on defense. Kosta is more a counter attacker than a fox in the box as well, and may quite not be in his form from last season.

But we look so good moving the ball around.

We were the better team for much of the game. It felt like their goal was imminent when we declined taking the ball forward in attacking positions, didn’t press hard for the second goal to wrap it up, and reverted to passing it all the way back. Not sure if it was a loss of confidence, tiring, or under orders from the chief to pass back if in doubt.

Just looked like we were gassed, whether physically or mentally. We had plenty of opportunities to shut down the ball carrier.

Allowing shots from the edge of the box has been a real weakness of ours, we need to get better at shutting down those chances.
