JFK - sorry about the JFK spelling, but you know what I mean.
Oluwayemi is taller than Paulsen and the only reason we have him here, out of a Premier League academy, is because he was not getting any game time.
He's young, still. He's on the other side of the world. His cultural fit here vs in England is likely different enough that he's noticed those differences, so he'll be adjusting to that too. He hasn't had any serious playing time recently, for a while. He was injured in the pre-season and hardly played for the team and has hardly met his defense. Which defense was somewhat disrupted pre-game. He's out there in his first game with that sort of pressure and difficult lead in. For a team giving him an opportunity and playing time, he really doesn't want to mess up. If he was nervy and somewhat tentative, I can understand. I'd give him a chance to find his feet.
I think I've got all those circumstances right? And happy to be corrected. But JFK, give the guy half a break before we rip him to bits haha. Maybe that's too harsh a way to put it, but I think we can expect him to improve with a bit more time with the team and playing time, and that tentativeness - which I think was a legitimate observation - may just disappear. Hopefully he turns into a cracker.
