In the squad the Phoenix put out on their website for Saturday’s game, Zawada is included. Phew!

Great news if Zawada is good to go and im confident Ugarkovic will step up.
Also a bonus for us Salim Khelifi (injured), Jack Clisby (suspended), Adam Taggart (injured). They also have Jordan Elsey who could debut for them

Great news indeed, hopefully Lewis's knee injury isn't too serious.

I think Zawada did go down briefly towards the end of the Mariners game but he was able to see out the game, not sure if it had anything to do with his quad though. If he's been training today, that's a good sign.

Looks like the chance to score in 4 consecutive games is still alive for Zawada.

Howdy all
Given the timing of the women’s game was there any plan to find somewhere in palmy north to watch it after the men’s?
Cheers

Rain at the Ring of Dirt? Will the half time entertainment be seeing a Stockcar race??
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

This will very likely rule Lewis out of AWs contention for the March matches.

This is really similar timing to when his last injury happened and when he'd be back by. Hopefully, he can get ahead of schedule and will be back to his best by finals.

In the press conference ufuk said they don't know how long, it could be 8 weeks it could be 12

Big fan of Lewis but from what we have seen I suspect we won't lose too much.
Feel like Rufer and Ugarkovic could strike up a good partnership

Lewis' passing range will be missed a lot. Don't think Stevey U has the same ability.

Agreed. People seem to underrate it, but he's probably the best passer in the team.

I’m at the open training session and as a local from Palmy, I am embarrassed by the state of the pitch. I hate to think what the players and staff think of it.

Good to see the groundsman taking pride in his pitch. If it was Thugby, it would be like a bowling green. Any news on the halftime entertainment being a stock car race?? Whats the weather like up there?

The grounds man was there and he was gutted about it as well. Stock cars last weekend and the Juicy Fest concert hadn’t helped. It is currently raining and not looking flash for tomorrow

Excellent coach and I understand it's a stressful job, but 4 yellows in 13 games is ridiculous.

Probably made a reputation for himself with officials already and therefore even more likely to see a card

He is responsible for all non playing staff on the bench, so if anyone gets chirpy, Uffie will get the yellow. So they all will have to be on their best behaviour.

Its no wonder the players pick up dumb yellows when they see the Gaffer getting dumb ones as well. Can see it costing us later in the season sadly something Talay needs to do some serious sole searching about are his tantrums and ravings are not needed and dont achieve anything.

That is only in American college football.
Under FIFA’s Laws of the game, section 12.3, any player or team official can be cautioned or sent off.
The actual offender is the one cautioned or sent off.
